His point is the fact that those upstairs with the real power never, ever speak up apart from vaguely worded end of season reviews.

When times get tough, we never hear them come out to say even something as simple as "we know things aren't going well, but we fully back the manager and intend to deliver on our promise to support him", which would go a million miles to calm fans' fears.

And on the rare occasion anyone upstairs does speak, they usually wax lyrical about restoring the club to it's rightful glory blah blah blah and then follow that up by replacing Heung Min Son with Mathys Tel, hence the "lies" Romero refers to.

I get it

Be honest as fans we are at the stage where even a few words will not do

Things need to start happening now…things are always pushed onto the next window

tomorrow never comes

We have no footballing people wearing a suit upstairs and for me that’s a major red flag

we actually look like a club run by accountants

The fans as a collective are not stupid, we know we have lost our soul as a football club

We are in the middle of the fight to try to get it back

Banners are getting unfolded as we speak and rightly so

"Agreed. I'm with you, brother. We're in for many battles"

I wonder which battles and with who...

It doesn’t matter really. The fact Romero posted this, and several players have supported him in the form or reposts/likes, just proves that internally the club is in crisis.

This is gonna get very interesting.

I know that there is much debate about our long throws, but I think we have a much bigger issue with regular ones!
They take an eternity, there's little movement to create space and very often end up at a player under pressure or who by being so close to the thrower at that stage leads to total confusion.
To be fair I haven't seen any stats that would back up this opinion, but I really don't see our opponents have the same problems.

PS. I know this isn't our most pressing of issues right now, but thought it might distract from the serious ones! <laugh>

It’s ridiculous, Spence and Porro just look around trying to find someone to throw to.

Then it either bounces off the recipient trying to knock it back to them or they realise they’re under pressure and have no one to make the next pass to and lose it.

Then we have Spence occasionally trying to just put it down the line yet it only goes a few yards away from him. Never known a full back with such a weak throw.

I think I read somewhere online there’s an emergency board meeting at spurs today. Has anyone else heard/read this somewhere?

Pretty much seems to be aimed at the board

Interesting to see the fanbase calling out Vinai at the moment, mainly because of how chatty he was in the summer but he seems to have disappeared in recent months
I think you're right - otherwise it makes even less sense. Frank, for all his faults, hardly hides from the media - even if sometimes it would probably be better if he did!

The owners and Board hide themselves away like Barons in their own special Fiefdom. Although I imagine that their public utterances must be limited being as there are Public Company implications etc.

Vinai deserves to be called out

Gobshite

His is exactly the type of condescending patronising tripe we have had enough off

Charge the highest prices and deliver the most bang average of products

clown

Banners are coming out soon enough

This is the thing that is becoming more apparent now: for his faults Levy never hid away, his name and face were always out front whether the times were rough or smooth

On the other hand, the Lewis family have always hid to the point I remember on at least one occasion one paper wrongly identified David Buchler as our owner as he was the guy in the firing line in the early months of Enic's ownership

At least the news on the players who went off injured last night is positive! :emoticon-0106-cryin
