Wednesday 7th January 7.30pm
Premier League
Vitality Stadium

Kulusevski, Maddison, Solanke and Udogie are all long-term injured.
Kudus will also be out and Odobert may miss it through a head injury.
Sarr and Bissouma are still at AFCON, but Simons returns from suspension.
There are no other bans, unless Romero's FA charge kicks in.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs:
Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Davies; Bentancur, Gray; Kudus, Odobert, Tel; Richarlison.
Subs: Kinsky, Spence, Dragusin, Danso, Palhinha, Bergvall, Williams-Barnett, Kolo Muani, Scarlett.
League form: WLLWDD.

Bournemouth: Petrovic; Jimenez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Tavernier; Semenyo, Kluivert, Brooks; Evanilson.
Subs: Forster, Smith, Cook, Diakite, Soler, Adli, Kroupi, Unal, Rees-Dottin.
League form: DDDLDL.

Ref: Darren England. VAR: Jarred Gillett (AUS). Both ****.

TV: Sky Sports Golf, apparently. Ok...

How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?

Difficult to see a positive result tomorrow. We have a squad of already limited ability still missing 3 of the supposedly more 'creative' players playing without confidence and little attacking cohesion and a coach who, even if he was the right choice, appears to be showing signs that he's finding the job too challenging for him. (And who can blame him for that?).

Ironically, I thought that we showed more coordinated attacking play after Kudus went off. He had been looking more and more like Plan A, Plan B and Plan C rolled into one.

I'd keep Ben in the side - solid performance, a goal and saved another after a Vicario flap.
Palhinha for Bentancur and find a place for Bergvall.

In fact, I'd even look at playing a back 3.

Vicario (or Kinsky)
Danso Romero VDV
Spence Palhinha Bergvall Davies
Odobert RKM Tel

Without meaning to be harsh as he is still a very young player, but imo Bergvall has had a really poor season. Hasn't built on the promise he showed last year.

I've said repeatedly he needs to go out on loan probably a step down to a big Championship side. He isn't ready for this level. Spends large chunks of games wandering around aimlessly, too easily muscled off the ball and often has the right idea but isn't sharp enough to make it happen.

Simons is back from suspension and will no doubt have a point to prove.

I forgot about Simons.... Yes, that's a straight swap for me.
I think Bergvall may be suffering from 2 things: a couple of injuries including a head injury and another he was rushed back from and simply too much responsibility placed on him in a misfunctioning team.
The lad is quality and will be a top player. Just not at all sure that it will be with us.

With no Kudus and Simons back, may be another one where he goes with the diamond with Paulina sitting then two of Bentancur, gray and bergvall. I’d that’s the case, would also like to see Tel and Muani as the two up top.

Bournemouth have been on a worse run than us, not seen much of them but they looked decent against Arsenal on Sunday.

Meanwhile there is absolute radio silence about Kulusevski's potential return, while Solanke has been "nearly there" for about 5 weeks now.

Hugely concerning.

I also think he’s suffering from being asked to play as a 10 in a team with no idea how to attack. He’s better deeper and I like him and Gray together. Maybe you could play them as a pivot if you used a back 3? Something like

Vic
Danso Romero VdV
Porro Gray Bergvall Davies
Odobert Richy Simons
