Bob had vision to realise what he wanted, and we owe him our Eternal gratitude for his dreams about how he wanted to progress. There but for a money man with deep pockets who's heart was in it with us, and a board who knew what they were doing could have gone us. Still we're here now or just about, thanks to KLD he has been a godsend and long may he continue.
Agree. A fantastic bloke who never forgot his roots and those less fortunate. An example to us all.

They've been in charge for years and the basic structure of the club hasn't improved, they've just flung in money haphazardly. Why on earth should the football manager be the one making announcements about the construction of the 'new stadium'. It's an absolute shambles, in truth, especially when Howe has said he won't be there to see it.

KLD is currently working on the expansion of the SOL, if that's announced it'll be done professionally and clearly.
I know this is about the mags but what have you heard about possible SOL expansion plans?

Someone on here keeps me posted but doesn't seem to want to give too many details.

That's because he stands to reap financial benefits which is understandable ...

... you can never serve two masters, as they say.

All I know, that I can repeat, is that the SOL expansion is a project that's ongoing and better than we could reasonably expect.

I'd equate it to the last transfer window in how thorough and significant it would be ...

... i.e. Xhaka level, rather than signing Broadhead or Keiffer Moore.

Fantastic mate thank you. Fingers crossed it all comes to fruition

I dont believe KLD is fkn about. Its both East & South if rumours are to be believed.
Would be superb if true. Probably significant cost savings doing it in one go.

It would give us massive opportunities in getting the kids in if true and secure future support.

In relation to this thread it looks like the mags are a long long way in doing any significant work and they are stuck with their capacity. We can really capitalise on their problems and thanks to Sir Bobs vision target kids we may have lost not so long ago.

Reading this and looking how professionally things have been on vast majority of KLD's ownership! Ironically the cup game about them lot is the one **** up where they royally ****ed up and it baffles at what they were thinking!

Then compare that to their ownership, they are far from professional and the one thing that's papering over it is the fact they are so rich they can spank money everywhere! We all know its all they wanted from Ashley! **** all the other nosie and bullshit! They wanted to be able to say we are competing with top teams for the most expensive players! They still haven't reached the level on that front they think they deserve! But they are more wary of crying about it because the Saudis are spending on the first team and they don't want to risk upsetting their overlords!

Apart from the first team spending everything else seems to be neglected and being left to go to pot!

I'd take KLD's ownership over their anyway, without taken the Saudi regime into account! KLD gives a feeling of building foundations and really being involved and caring about what happens at the club if he decides he has had enough he will ensure its sold to someone willing to carry on the work ( no guarantees obviously but he will care imo!). Then their owners (PIF nothing to do with the state honest, unless we are talking about something where its beneficial to be part of it!) I could prattle on but it just likes they are cluess and/or disinterested!

P.S take.Saudi regime into it and we are definitely in the better position!

Interesting!

I know the square root of f*** all. And I know no one connected with the club, and never have done. I don't even know what's for tea most days.

But someone I know who is not remotely interested in football told me something similar a month or two ago, when he was in among a few of us in a pub.

Pinch of salt and all that, he might have completely misunderstood whatever it was he heard and he didn't elaborate. But he's a good sort ( very well educated as it happens and old enough to be sceptical about gossip of any kind) . And he is no bullshitter, so you never know.....
