Forgetting it was a derby game that win was massive.
We've lost 4 times this season and each time we've won the next fixture, nipping in the bud any doubting thoughts we might be slipping up.
The players have some balls...not forgetting Regis, the man's a phenomenon.
Can’t underestimate that stat marra, outstanding for a promoted club

calmed mesel down a bit now, for a game i was 'not bothered about' i found myself on edge through the week yet strangely calm at kick off.

i rarely watch any of the mags games so someone will have to keep me right here but i saw nothing that told me that was a champions league squad...although it most likely confirmed that RLB is better at planning a game than i thought.

nordi's yellow was harsh, both went for the ball at the same time, brobbey's yellow, i know it is the 'law' but also very harsh (he was getting dragged and kicked every time he got near the ball) then we see some of the mags doing the old professional foul to stop a break and no cards given, old cry from me but we just want/need to see consistency from the officials.

now, the fans that got upset over the last time the mags were here (rightly so, many would say) need to throw and apology in after the club did a sterling job with the new screen, the owners learned a lot form that episode and did their bit to put it right.

Na mate,

The club might have got a lot right since then and even before then in KLD's time. That was a blip and the fans let them know they had ****ed up and rightly so! You don't apologise for justified criticism just because the party criticised has taken it on board and improved.

The club and KLD realised they ****ed up, iirc wasn't there an apology about it? This time was what we have seen and expected throughout KIDS ownership faultless and getting it spot on!

This game has hurt Newcastle in many more ways than just the result …

… which was a narrow defeat against a hard working and decent PL side.

Questions will be asked about Howe

Dan Burn may have an ‘AFCON length break’

Voldemort trudged off without having made any deliberate impact

Tonali was clearly dejected

Their keeper isn’t a patch on ours

The Mags know they were deservedly beaten

Etc

Etc

Etc

This was way more than three points dropped …

… the defeat will affect them for months.
We can only hope this is true <laugh>

Nordi and Reinildo bossed their wingers and our midfield ensured that their normal marauding full backs delivered nothing of note into our box. They created nothing of note in 97 minutes of football.
It wasn't a classic game, with both teams largely cancelling each other out, but only one team played like they believed they would get the win.
Atmosphere was tremendous and we did the players, Gary Rowell and the club proud.

Just read an article in 'The Mag', where someone says that in his eyes, this was the least important of their 3 games. Yeah, of course it was. That's why your all whinging about how **** your team was and asking for the manager to be sacked.

Their players played as if it wasn't very important though. No desire at all until they spat their dummies out in injury time. Willock's challenge on Roefs was a disgrace.

So proud of our team, which was only built in the summer. I feel greater things lie ahead for all connected with SAFC.

So he admits we are their biggest game of the season. Not City ( who were their new main rivals) or Utd ( old derby) or Liverpool with the imaginary longstanding rivalry.
Does he even realise he said we weren’t even a good team - the team that is and has been all season above them in the league

TBF he said not a "great" team, I think he meant we're decent but not e.g. Real Madrid or Barcelona so it was weird that they seemed to approach the game like we were a far better team and their only hope was to catch us on the break. I can see where he's coming from tbh, thought the Mags approach was odd, if they'd attacked and given us a game from the start it might have been a bit more of a spectacle!

Any idea when it was? :)
Mate I’d been on the beers from 1130 but was first half cos was right in front of me I’d probs wager 20-30 min area but I was ‘merry’ to say the least.

I believe in you I need to see it again was a massive roar around us rest of ground probs didn’t even clock it

After that display from us, and Newcastle, I’ve started checking trains for the match at SJP.

And, while I'm on, please back Traore ...

... he's a very dangerous player currently not getting the praise he deserves.

The cross, with the outside of his boot, was absolutely top class.
Traore been class for weeks and the effort he puts in is immense. I’m a big fan of the lad.
