I dont comment during the match as emotions are high but I say what I see after the game. People will agree some wont that's the nature of the forum.

Data backs up what I am seeing and I hope Howe responds to the data but it's 9 games we have let in a goal in the last 5 mins of time or into added time. Thats nearly a quarter of a season and he needs to resolve it. I just dont see his game management trying to do that. In fact its like he has stage fright and so ends up doing nothing.

Lets see what Sunday brings but if it happens again against Sunderland, GG wont need to do any recruitment because he will have willing volunteers.
Well said my friend. And I agree wholly.

Howe is a good manager. But he isn’t a great manager yet. He’s won a pit which apparently gives him godlike status to **** up.

Managers need to be judged on their performance not on the past results.

But some folks think he’s Keegan.

Burn is going to play every week all season and probably for Howes entire reign. His momentum is backwards receiving the ball and when passing. The back line is literally unable to function.
I think burn is a problem longer term but not sure right now. He’s a CB. Hes an average CB Thiaw looks good but the one consistent thing this season has been late goals and Thiaw has been playing in all of these games.

He appears to be absent when these late goals go in. Maybe he isn’t as good as we think.

You're right, he's no Keegan. He's won a trophy and hasn't blown a 12 point lead at Christmas to win the Premier League.

GG has one officially signed up already, he's on the rise

I don't think he's Keegan, I think he's better. The trophies back that up.
We can’t just blindly accept Howe because he won a trophy. Top clubs move on. Spurs sacked their manager and he won a pot.

ETH won two. Got sacked.

It’s simply about current performances and how he manages.

It’s fluid. Currently. He seems to get by with us conceding consistently late in games.

That suggests he is crap at game management.

ETH? Erik Ten Hag? Ie Man U manager? You do realise they're used to winning domestic trophies there, whereas this was our first in 70 years?

And the ridiculous comparison to Spurs, where both managers may have won a trophy last season, but Ange finished 17th and Howe got us into the Champions League?

You're losing it.

Your just not comparing like for like. Your choosing to see blind **** with Howe.

If we want to be elite. We have to stop this small club mentality you bring.

We have to evolve.

I disagree. The Keegan year where we threw the title I enjoyed more.
This isn't about your opinion and what you agree or disagree with, it's about the fact that last season was clearly the best of the last 42 years for us, as we won our first domestic trophy in 70 years and qualified for the CL (which was all we got for finishing 2nd).

Likewise someone even weirder than yourself could claim their favourite season is recent times was the relegation with Joe Kinnear and Shearer, but the fact we won a trophy makes last season objectively a better season.

Can't shake the image of GG, similar age to myself, furiously masturbating as we blew that lead, each defeat... better and better!!! YES!!!!

... I was absolutely devastated <laugh>
It was literally the most disappointing season in our history, we had bought a team that could easily win the league and blew a huge lead ending in massive despair by the end of the season.

The fact that he "enjoyed" the experience of us missing out more than us actually winning a trophy last season says it all. Mind you he is the guy who did an imaginary prison stretch for running a guy over with his car, so thinks are all pretty bizarre in his world.

You are taking the obtuse angle on purpose. Maybe ask why he thought it was the best?

For me, that season up until March was superb. We were the entertainers. We attacked constantly, we played exciting football.

Last season was superb for a different reason, we won a cup but the football wasn't anything like the Entertainers season. People forget last year, we were utter dog **** up till Xmas and nobody on this forum was having a good time.

I'm not taking the obtuse angle, I'm just not mentally insane. Who cares what it was like until March, the fact was we threw away the title and it was a devastatingly disappointing season.

Last season we weren't utter **** up to Xmas, we just had a very brief bad spell late November/early December. We then won our first domestic trophy in 70 years and qualified for the CL. Last season was objectively a better season, end of story. I don't care about your or GG's opinion, because it's not about opinions.

The football wasn't anything like the Entertainers? What, we weren't wide open with gaping holes in defence? We didn't have players like Batty and Asprilla messing up the balance of the team? Oh yeah, and last season wasn't like the Entertainers because we actually won something?

Last season was great. I never said it wasn’t.
