I recall Mbrough been 3-0 up at the KCom after about 20 mins a few seasons ago. The bloke I sat next to couldn't understand why I chose to stay. He'd gone home before 3.30. The game ended 4-2.
I'll admit that I went on half time last night. First time I've ever left a game so early. I was wet through and in a foul mood. Last thing I needed was coming across some smoggie twat on the car park given it large.

Don’t think anyone would criticise someone for not going for the reasons you listed. **** happens in life and watching football is a hobby and hobbies sometimes have to take a back seat for more important things.

I think what people are criticising is the mass exodus at halftime. It was a poor look, in my opinion. The atmosphere at home has been poor all season despite the turnaround in our home form under Jakirović and the siege mentality he’s built due to the transfer restrictions and off-field stuff. ‘Football in a library’ is sung by the supporters of every team that has visited the MKM so far this season.

'Football in a library' is sang by every set of away fans at every ground in the FL at every match, every week. It is not exclusive to our stadium.

I thought our first home game against Oxford was a cracking atmosphere since then it's been dreadful despite some decent wins and performances.

Ironically, the home crowd was louder in the second half after the exodus. I thought booing especially was poor by the supporters. It was more understandable last season when we were struggling and playing **** under both Walter and Sellés. We’ve been in and around the play-offs most of the season.

If you can't stick with your team through thick or thin (in any kind of weather to quote a another clubs motto) then it's a worry. The players didn't do that on purpose. They were set up badly and allowed themselves to be overrun looking like boys against men. It happens, it literally happened to Derby today. This is the championship where any side will punish you if you are not absolutely on your game. Stoke and Derby fans both found that out today too.

My suggestion to anyone who left because they were wet is to buy a big coat.

Weren’t we 5-0 down at half time against both Wigan and Man City?

Similar circumstances vs Wigan too didn’t they have 4 shots and score 5 goals?

'If I had paid to watch that I'd have booed too', Mark Hateley after our Doncaster defeat. The same Doncaster that lost 34 league games, a record, only won four games that season, had a goal difference of -83, conceded 113 league goals, and had a cobbled together team including the goalkeeper who was a friend of a friend. Great days.

Weren’t 4-0 down at home at half time. I think last night was a first (at least whoever have been going).

Agree. Atmosphere was good against Oxford. That late winner by McBurnie was great and the whole stadium erupted. Ever since then it’s been crap.

The Man City away in 2008 and yesterday are the only times we have been 4-0 down at half time with goal times that chatGPT could find in our entire history, whether home or away.

It could have happened in historical results where it could not find information about when the goals were scored so it’s not definitive, but at least in recent history they are the only 2 times.

This has deviated from the original post which said last night was the first time we had been 4-0 down at half time at home.
