Let's face it. Millar, McBurnie, Belloumi and Gelhardt all fully match-fit then Joseph is benched.

Unfortunately they aren't so it comes down to a choice between a workhorse who isn't a finisher and a six yard box player who is going to be a passenger for 89 minutes.

Who’s scored on his first 2 starts, and isn’t really an impact sub, but makes an impact when he starts. Workhorse? He lost the ball so many times and should have made better of a few situations. He’s not Championship level, even as a workhorse. Start with Destan and he’s more likely to nick a goal and give us a platform to build on. KJ is never doing that because he’s just not good enough. I don’t want the guy to fail, I would much rather he was flying, but he’s not, he’s pants.

Yes! It's not destans game and it's not a criticism to make that observation. ****ing hell. It's as if you think I'm saying destan should press like Joseph when all I'm saying is there's a reason to leave Joseph on when destan came on because he presses more effectively. Bloody hell.

KJ can press all day, but where did that get us? Nowhere, zero, zip, nada, he’s a striker, not a defender.

Joffy put a shift in but he can't do it all on his Jack Jones. Ndala is going to frustrate me as much as Jason Lokilo did....Joseph tries and puts himself about, but effort is no substitute for a lack of talent at this level. We go again on Saturday, but beginning to look as though the run to Christmas could be a hard watch.

Exactly this.

Yes we've got a soft underbelly and we've had that most of the season but it's usually outweighed by our pressing up top and finishing. Neither are now happening effectively and, for me, that's because we're lacking a backbone. After a reassuringly positive ****housery start to the season we're back to getting bullied again which then sets the nerves jangling and we make mistakes. Hopefully a different story when messrs McBurnie and Lundstrom return, also think Matazo will add a bit of steel as well as flair when, hopefully soon, we see him again.

Watched Sky highlights when I got back mainly to see if their second was offside, looked offside to me from the half way line but having seen the replay it looks like Giles was playing him onside. We really should have had 2 goals in the first half but unfortunately we were **** in the second and gifted them 2 goals. Having said that Ipswich are becoming a decent side and they knew how to play us.

We're just over a third of the way through the season and despite losing 3 of the last 4 games we're in 8th, possible down to 10th after teams with games in hand play. With our injuries and the rush of games ahead we could well be down to lower mid-table by early Jan but even then I still think we can pick up and finish the season strongly if our better players are regularly available.

I think the problem last night was the ref didn’t allow the physical side of our game to come through at all. He was ready to blow for everything, starting with the nonsense between O’Shea and Joseph in the first couple of minutes. O’Shea backed into him, it went out for a GK so nothing would have been gained anyway but the ref still blew for a ‘foul’.

It really hampered us last night and you could see our players getting more and more frustrated. We defended the two goals poorly so ultimately it didn’t cost us the game, but it probably had an impact and didn’t allow us to perform or press as well as we did against Southampton and Leicester.

In this game? It was getting us into a strong position over 70 minutes. How did Destan go up top?

We lost the game, and he wasted the ball so many times so how is that getting us into a strong position? Zero end product doesn’t equal getting into strong positions.

sales manager: you only got 2/20 this month, but don’t worry buddy, I know you really ****ed up a few potential sales, but I saw you harassing people and you nearly got those other 18 sales, keep up the good work.

Sorry Ennis, I know you got 20/20 sales for this month, but you know what, I don’t know how you did it because I never saw you once harass any customers, sorry, you’re not good enough, you’re off the sales team

I'm getting fed up of the Joseph conversation being about how he got us into good positions. If he wastes them it's pointless surely?

Were all desperate for him to do well I'm sure we are, but he just doesn't have the ability to pass, have a good touch, finish, or most importantly, have any striker's instinct whatsoever.

I just don't think you can coach those attributes either.

From my vantage point in West Stand Upper, it was a bloody awful game. Both teams turned over the ball so many times, no flowing moves, we looked tired, ref was awful, Kyle was awful, he panics, Slater was awful. It was just a really poor game with two low quality sides. The amount of times we won the ball in a good position and two seconds later we gave it back to them. The midfield was congested, we didn't have any control on the wings. Ref counting down Pandur really pissed me off, then at a throwing or a corner it's ok to take an age to get it back into play. Last night I did not enjoy. We've got some tough games ahead. Need something from Stoke or this could really turn into a freefall.

Almost agree but after the subs they looked good and we got worse.

somebody said it last night, but when they are bringing on Philogene and Akpom and we are looking over at the first aid room hoping for good news , it sums it up. no shame in losing to them, we are starting to feel the pinch now, Geldhardt cant do it on his own, and not getitng overly involved in the Joseph debate but hes only going to get us so far.
im still annoyed about Hughes, we didnt concede from our usual open style or from a lucky deflection, i cant even explain it, wasnt even a fizzed in dangerous cross it was just lofted in, and as often happens the first goal in that types of games is the killer.

Slater awful? He was just about the only bright spot in midfield.

But some would tell you he's learning his craft.... HE'S HAD 180 GAMES!!!!!!

And another thing , again we are the worst throw in takers in the division !! We don’t mark the opposition , Ipswich had a routine for short throws that always freed up a spare man . We have weak throwers dropping it over the head of our player straight to the opposition . I just do not understand why we continue to do this and have for years - coaching !!!

And to think we apparently have a set piece coach....
