****ing hell, I didn’t realise that there’s going to be 48 teams at next years World Cup.

This is what happens when you expand it so much, dross like Scotland and possibly Wales and Eire qualify.

It’s probably harder not to qualify these days.
I'm OK with it, the World Cup is such a special occasion, especially for kids, the more football on tv the better for me and my lad.

Plus plenty of goals when teams like Scotland and Bermuda get tonked in the group stages.

In a non football related thing I've heard of a machinery business that has gone bust, the administer is charging £900 an hour and the auction house is on £250 an hour for sorting and cataloguing the assets. The few quid that the company may have will be going to them leaving the debtors with nowt.
I spoke to some last week at an RL club that is about to go pop and come back as a new Co. Frightening how much they are getting with zero chance of getting the debtors paid.

Hasn't the TV revenue halved over the last 10 years? Can't have helped. Did the RL board hire ex-Hull FC James Rule as a consultant to negotiate that deal?

Yes the central funding to Championship clubs is a fraction of what it once was but that isnt the reason this club is in a mess unfortunately.

That guys name is banned in our family, absolute ****house. He got a surprise 10 years ago at Hull Royal when hsi kid was being born in the next room to my lad. He came face to face with my father in law outside the room not long after he shafted him. Never seen the lanky burk move so fast!!

Phil Brown: Veteran boss reveals Peterborough Sports inspiration - BBC Sport

PB's looking more and more like your favourite school teacher from a few decades ago, or a dodgy character from the battle-cruiser, each and every day.

Always a soft spot for him
