Obviously take what we can get but hardly much to get excited about apart from Scienza today.

3 at the back just kills our attacking threat so much, please please please get someone who rebalances the team and gives us a larger midfield presence.

If , as others have said SR are calling the shots on how we play , it won’t matter who is the manager if they can’t get the players playing how they want them to ?

Great to get a win, still an extremely ropey performance but we wouldnt see much of a turn around in 4 days.

McCarthy back in for the weekend though, Bazunu nearly single handedly threw that all away.

I doubt he will switch the keepers back (mainly because we won). But I personally didn't see it necessary to recall both Bazunu and Stephens. I don't think either justified it.

Appreciate they are as relieved as we are, if not more, and I am splitting hairs a bit but I didn’t enjoy the reaction from our staff on the bench at FT. The standards should be higher than rapturously celebrating that at the whistle. Looked like a lower league minnow celebrating an FA Cup upset. I noticed Lallana didn't really engage with it while the others were all hugging and bouncing up and down in delight
With the way we were hanging on I imagine it was very easy to get caught up in it. Had we just won 2-0 and controlled the game like a semi-competent team then I doubt they'd be reacting like that.

Well that was a horrible watch. Two lovely goals and cruising until Bazunu… I don’t even know what he was doing.

And then we decided to basically sit so, so deep, and just let QPR cut in and shoot or cross at will.

That is not the way to see out games ffs. Maybe against top opposition, but not weak teams like this.

Oh and of course Damion Downs the invisible man comes on again. Completely lose our press. Have some mercy on us long-suffering fans, please.

We’ve got some talented players but just completely lack any organisation.

And the sooner we have Charles and Romeu in midfield, the better.

We only went and ****ing won <party>

Just as I was thinking how nice it was to have a goal for the first time in 14 months they got one back and made it nervy as ****. They must have had about 7/8 corners after their goal.

Rode our luck a fair bit but don't even care. Azaz was horrific, Wood completely lost it with him on multiple occasions.

Absolute worldy from Leo, even from the other end I knew it was in.

That'll ****ing do! SR out.

Wasn't a fan of the over the top celebrations at the end. Think we'd won promotion rather than our first game in 6 weeks.

Probably being a bit harsh given how tense it was at the end but it just annoyed me the players wanting to act like heroes when they've been pathetic for weeks.

Did they do the cringe lifting arms thing to away fans?

I'm still happier with Baz in goal than McCarthy. McCarthy would have punched at those high balls in the 6 yard box - Baz claimed them. Yes he has his flaws but I saw nothing from McCarthy in the spell he had to tell me he's a better keeper.

Still not impressed by Azaz or Fellows. Jander is so-so and Leo is mega. So many other players are just not pulling their weight or are not good enough. Good result, not good performance.

Azaz fair enough he has been abysmal and has had quite a few chances now.

But Fellows hasnt had a chance to play in his actual position yet.

Not for me.

Baz is one of the worst keepers I have ever seen. He’s the Damion Downs of goalkeepers.

Thought we were abysmal tonight. We just had a lot more luck than recent weeks. But hopefully we can build on a win and grow from here…

Also, I hope Scienza’s injury isn’t too bad as we are genuinely relegation candidates without him.
