Ey there’s some talent there..

Been watching a few things recently - some of the programs I have watched since they started have come back with new series:

FBI
Fire Country
Boston Blue (if anyone used to watch Blue Bloods, this is a spin off with Danny Reagan)
Slow Horses - felt this was back to it's best this series!
Chicago PD

I've also got a list of things I want to start:

Ballard (I've read the books with ther as the main character)
The Last Frontier - heard good things on that
Down Cemetery Road - might start that today as first 2 episodes have dropped

For the sci-fi fans - i'm just getting into Alien: Earth; it has the creatures from the Alien film franchise (+ others) but has more substance with lots more characters, it's quite an involved story but I'm really enjoying it.

I’m looking forward to starting that. I’ve heard a good few things about it!

Started watching 'Monster: The Ed Gein Story' on Netflix, the story of a serial killer known as the 'Butcher of Plainfield'. I'm two episodes in, but it's so grim, I'm not sure I want to watch any more.

The title sounds like something from the 70’s that Lee Majors would have played the lead in.
Taking of who, I watched the Fall Guy (the 2024 film with Ryan Reynolds and Emily Blunt) on a flight the other day.
Used to enjoy the 80’s TV show and I thought it was an ok film actually.
I mean it’s a stupid story of course, but entertaining I thought.
Got to the end I thought it was a shame Lee Majors hadn’t had a cameo, but thankfully watched after the end credits started rolling and it cuts to another scene where he does make an appearance.
Good fun stuff.

Good job you didn't leave 5 minutes before the end or you would have missed it.

My kids school never closed, they always said whatever the weather, you get the kids here and we'll teach them.

There were a lot of farmers kids at the school and they'd often rock up in a tractor when the weather was bad.

Though my son did once end up in a field after the school bus skid off the road in the snow, so it maybe wasn't the safest idea.

I lived round the corner from my school, usually a ten minute walk but double that because of the snow and ice. We'd have snowball fights on the way and end up soaked by the time we got there, everyone sat in class, literally steaming as we warmed up <laugh>. Across the road was Dansom Lane playground and a large area of cinder ground what we played footie and rugby on but couldn't while it was covered in snow in case we hurt ourselves slipping but it was ok to scrape the skin off our knees and elbows playing rugby <laugh>.
Great days. :emoticon-0148-yes:
