a few games were selected as cheap ticket games the 120th anniversary game wasWeren't the attendances last season boosted by a lot of cheap ticket deals ?
Agree 100%. Yesterday was embarrassing. I went with a mate for his first game in two decades and told him the atmosphere was okay. I had to apologise to him after 10 mins, it was like a wake. Perhaps its time to encourage a section of ultras who can keep a steady beat going. I now notice Middlesbrough have a similar group to the C.Palace ultras who make the noise. Yesterday, there wasn't a lot to get excited about because it was mostly turgid stuff, but when we began to get on top it was still relatively quiet.
YepWe had Ultras in the Allam era - it fizzled out to nothing, never took off and never looked like taking off, it was a total and utter disaster. All it did was split the noisy, and mostly anti-name change support into two halves and caused people to lose seats they'd had from the opening of the KC. The Allams couldn't believe their luck, the noisy CTID rabble split in half by two dozen so-called Ultras!
They are, but why do you think this season's attendances have seen a slight dip despite the home form being chalk and cheese with recent seasons?i thought attendances were on a par with last couple seasons to be fair , hovered fairly consistenlty around 20k , pushed up to 23/24k with cheap deals or a massive away following,
Slight increase in cost. They've increase by 20% in two seasons, poor season last year and the generally cost of living now. They are, but why do you think this season's attendances have seen a slight dip despite the home form being chalk and cheese with recent seasons?
We’ve averaged 20,563 this season, it’s only 800 different to last season.

Our attendances have dropped 6.45% im two sessons.
I still think our attendances are great. But I all businesses would be concerned with 6.45% drop in customer retention.
After 7 home games last season we had a total of 151,233 through the gate. That was an average of 21,604.7
After 7 homes game this season we've had a total of 143,579. An average of 20,511.2. Which is 1,093.5 less per game than last season.
Difficult to put a finger on it, though the increases in the cost of living would suggest it is the reason.
Hull's problem is that we have two rugby teams, plus the local economy has the lowest salary level in the entire UK. for a city of 300k plus ......Compare both those factors with other cities of a similar size Cov, Norwich, Leicester etc..etc..Bristol is a similar size and does have a RU club and another football club, but its far more prosperous than Hull.
[/QUOTE]Given prices have risen 20% in that time, a 6.45% drop in retention is less concerning as revenue will be up regardless.
Realistically, we’ve had two poor seasons at home, the summer was an absolute clown show and on top of that prices went up, I don’t think it’s surprising that a few people have cancelled.
What the team has done is give the club every chance of getting those fans back with the positive, entertaining performances.
