I imagine someone’s already thought about the advertising or sponsorship opportunities in a VAR break…..
Big win that. And I'm pleased for Farke. I've always thought he's harshly judged at PL level based on his time at Norwich - they barely gave him a penny to spend.
West Ham really do have to beat Burnley in a couple of weeks time. Their other games this side of Christmas are tough.
Back to back relegations for Fernandes then. Quite amusing. Sadly we won't be swapping places with him and JWP though
Still quite fancy Nuno to get them out of it tbh. They have been on a slow decline ever since that ECL win though. Definitely gonna win my bet with magic either way.
Nah the promoted sides will all still go down. Wolves the only ones stinking the place up from the elite 17, but they’ll turn it round. Be interesting if Sunderland stay up, might encourage other promoted sides to spend if promoted rather than worrying about an instant return
It wasn't that slow, we had a good first 2 months the season after, and **** since then, only surviving because there were even worse teams. I'm looking forwards to Jan 1st and 2 new CBs that can actually defend.Kilman would be the worst CB in the league if Todibo didn't exist. 78m we paid for them. £78,000,000
Nearest pie and mash G. Kelly Roman road. Something for the Saints away supporters to look forward to next season.
He's been banned from the squad. Not even available for selection as Nuno doesn't want him around. Most odd as James has never come across as a difficult player, maybe in slight decline now, but you'd think he'd be a good option in latter stages of the game if you're struggling to keep possession. I thought Irving was a bit pants for them as well, couldn't see JWP being as bad. On a big wage so not likely to be loaned out in Jan unless WHU pay the bulk of his wages.
I would say excluded rather than banned which implies some sort of falling out. This the BBC take on the situation. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/czjvxy9k47mo "So far, Nuno has preferred to use younger, quicker players in that area of the pitch, such as Mateus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa. It may be that Ward-Prowse simply does not fit the way the new West Ham manager wants to play in midfield, and that is why he finds himself out in the cold once again."
Neither of those started, we had Soucek, who is probably the 2nd slowest player at the club (after Guido, who has also played), and the enigmatic Irving, the enigma being why a championship level player is starting games, he was supposed to be getting sold to Wrexham for 5m. Something happened between them at Forest when he was on loan there last season. He played the first few games and was then benched, then dropped from the squad and finally sent back.
