We defended pretty well today. Bar the one that hit the post and the penalty I didn’t often feel they offered much threat - they have parachute payments and therefore excellent players, they will have a few attempts.

Absolutely,.

Obvious but escapes some on here – division is far far from a level playing field, we escaped by a cat’s cock hair last season' have a transfer ban versus some of the biggest wages in the league; yet some on here seek to make the case how lucky we were to win rather than celebrate.

We win by any means possible – which successful teams tend to do.

Enjoy.

Agree completely. And it was a convincing win vs a side that really should be premier league right now, and should at least be at the top end of the table. Yes they are struggling right now for form but their quality was still clear to see and we not only matched them but beat them without ever really feeling under the cosh. And excellent result for us against a massively underperforming team.

I'd be shocked if sheff u don't finish top and walk the pl next year with this squad.

We won because we were organised , defended well and got behind the ball like so many have done to us over the last two to three years . The wind against second half made it hard to get out and attack . They set up with 5 at the back so deserve what they got .

I don't get it with interviewing mangers after the game...What the hell can they do? It's gone. You move on. It's not as if they were on the pitch kicking a ball.

Some fans just like to hear a manager front up. But there’s not a lot they can say to be fair. There’s defo more harm that can be done as a manager. That’s why I like Jak. Says it as it is.

I see what you mean, but the should/could/would reaction that comes out sometimes drives me Harry Potter. Interestingly, enough I tuned into Radio Sheff at about 5 last night to listen to 'Praise or Grumble'. I heard their presenter say Paul Cook, boss of Chesterfield, never talks to the radio or the print media. And thought to myself there's a first.

Sheffield United are the first team since the Championship began (2004/05) to lose 8 of their opening 9 league games.

They've lost 5 of those games one nil, but also had a couple of heavy defeats (4-1 and 5-0).

Watching them yesterday I'd say they've more than enough to pull it round. Can't see them doing a Luton at all.
