The irony of those Wilder comments, is that he was manager when McBurnie was released and went to Las Palmas.
Wilder didn’t have a say in it
Not just as a footballer but as a person as well. I always kept the manager [Chris Wilder] in the loop. They offered me a contract but I was open and honest with him the whole time. When Las Palmas came in, I thought it would be a great experience. In the end, it came down to knowing if I didn’t do it, I would always be wondering: 'what if'."

it’s breathtaking the chip on the shoulder city types

it’s a fair piece from wilder very complimentary about oli and a very good dig at the previous incumbent and owners
Nothing to see here

It's weird to pretend that there's nothing unusual about Wilder's comments there. Course he would love to have him and wishes they'd got him, but to be openly saying he should be playing for them, and implying that he wanted to rejoin them instead of us, quite obviously is disrespectful despite his protestations and he obviously knows what he's doing.

It's long overdue that we beat these at home. Seems like about 7 years in a row they've beat us here. Ridiculous.

I think tomorrow night be a day for keeping the ball on the floor...
I now hear the yellow weather warning is now extended to the whole of the Yorkshire area for tomorrow. inc East Yorks. Going to be a difficult day for football. Could be a human equivalent of blow football.

So Wilder rates McBurnie at thinks he should be at their club

I read that as criticism of Shef Utd not signing him when he was available
Wilder is a Sheff United fan, it probably means more to him missing out on that signing than your average Manager would. I dont mind him, he is a bit of a nob at times but arent we all? He has a very good track record as a Manager and he is passionate about his club.

Proper mind games, not seen for a while since Colin retired. Lets be honest if Serg had done it the other way around we would all be praising his ability to wind up the opposition fans. Lets just let the footy do the talking on Saturday and hope it is not Wilder who is leaving the stadium with a big grin.
