Never. You can’t have a player like that on the park and even contemplate throwing it in.

He’s a colossus. He’s a prime alpha male, pure leadership spills out of him. He can play as well.

We knew he was a levels signing but my god I didn’t expect him to be as influential. Assumed he’d sit deep and keep it simple, but he’s involved in everything.

Capitano.

I love him! He's the central pin that we've been desperate to have for a long time.

I actually cringed when the squeaky voiced female announcer said,

"Welcome to the WORLD FAMOUS City ground."

Brian Clough is quite famous in Europe, Forest are famous in the UK, the City Ground is famous in Nottingham ...

... but no one under 35 has ever thought it was world famous.

The ground is little better than Hillsborough or Luton tbh.

That is good to see. Are the numbers a score out of 100?

I watched the game back again last night and it was some performance. The work rate of the players is something to behold. Add that to their determination to win and we have the basis of something very good.
Aye, a percentage score.

Funny that people keep saying 'This will be a tough game' every week then follow up with reasons we got a result ...

... apparently we caught West Ham cold, Villa and Brentford are 'teams in transition', Forest played in Europe midweek, etc.

None of the teams we've played are in more of a transition than Sunderland and we've lost a very important player.

Seems there's still a fair amount who don't yet believe.

But we were “utter horseshit “ according to one Forest fan! My guess is he’s just a sore loser as others on twitter said we were excellent!

the “horsehit” fan posted an image showing stats

Shots NFFC 22 SAFC 11
On target 6/3
Lear chances created 1/2

using something like “ look we had loads of chances, you didn’t”

It’s a lot like last season where opponents are slating us and saying we aren’t good! Even when we beat them

It shows how little a man knows about football when they say a side is ‘****’ when they setup, have a plan, and beautifully execute it.

You win one nil after setting up to protect and you have done a 10/10 job. That isn’t **** it’s the absolute opposite.

We all love attacking football and we all love to see goals and chances, but as is well said, there’s absolute beauty in the art of defending and on doing it as a unit and to instruction.

Nobody called AC Milan **** in the 90’s. A team that trademarked the ability to simply not allow goals by the opposition.

Last 2 away games are superb, well planned and brilliantly executed performances.

Love watching videos like this and since it includes the Forest game, I'll put it in here.

Interesting that RLB in preseason explains how long you have to use the ball at the back and then in midfield and you then actually realise what we've been watching in how we play.

Big smile and butterflies in the stomach listening to them talking about us

<laugh> It's a little better than Luton mate! Consett ground at the old Belle Vue was better than Luton! :emoticon-0105-wink:

How would they describe a side which was leading until an 84th minute equaliser, and then succumbed to a 96th minute defeat?
