Palace totally deserved their win, luck doesn't come into it - and I'm not going down the "we're a disaster waiting to happen" route.
I said before the season started - and several times since - that there have been too many changes for my liking, but I'm willing to give them a chance to bed in. 7 wins out of 8 games isn't bad going for a team struggling to find its identity.

Slot made some odd experiments thst had both Bradley and konate acting like scared kids.

He was pushing kerkez on for the first time this season into a vacated lw slot but wortz was anywhere but where he was effective.

    Rw? Come on lad.

We had 2 10s as a result and still couldn't dominate midfield

His changes at ht worked but then he somehow decided to remove konate and the team fell apart for 15mins.

We got the break and bak into it and palace then finally decided to attack again and scored easily.

If anything this should be a lesson to palace to stop respecting teams so much and go kill the game.

They had 4 or 5 big chances missed.on the break despite sitting back and the offsides were distinctly.dodgy.

Kavanagh decided to ignore all time wasting and preventing the game restarts as well which is fairly typical home town reffing.

It's totally my fault. Every time I went to Selhurst Park to see Liverpool we lost, so I stopped going.

However my power is strong and I drove past the stadium yesterday at about 16.00 and that was enough to trigger a loss.

Please move out of London. Might I suggest Lerwick?

Only saw the highlights but no idea what Konate was doing when he let Mateta through in first half. Ball played through, he’s goalside, has the pace, gets to the ball but almost runs past it then attempts to slide tackle. Was lucky he didn’t bring Mateta down as would have been a red card as well

I'd say stupidity but then he gets riled over thst tiny tap on the arm and then gives a needless yellow away.

Slot can never take off a cb 11 v 11 again

We had them pinned in and tiring and did made thst move and fell apart.

I think we should get Marc Guehi in the January transfer window, otherwise we may not stand a chance of getting him when he becomes free agent.

I don't think anyone at all was surprised by Palace. They are the in form team and have been very hard to beat which is why nobody has done it going back to halfway through last season.

If people are using my comment to claim there was no luck involved, they're wrong imo. You can still be the far better team on the day, as Palace were but still only score from goals where luck was involved, as it was. (Already explained the non-corner and the extra extra time). It doesn't mean they weren't the better side on the day, they obviously were but you can't discount the luck involved in their goals just because they were the better side. It's why we like football. The unpredictability of the outcome when a team can win via a deflected goal or a clear penalty not given etc etc. The best team doesn't always win and vice versa.

It was always going to be a difficult game and why Slot chose this one to experiment, I have no idea.

Slot got it badly wrong, agreed.

Ekitike should share part of the blame for his stupid yellow cards against Southampton.

you could but if you assume that Isak took his place, it still doesn’t wash. The team had no balance for a large part of the game - Slot is trying to work out how to fit Wirtz in and we have new full backs who don’t know whether to stick or twist. The quality is there, I have no doubt, but this will take time <ok>

Well, d'uh. But we're that desperate now that we'll need to pay whatever Palace are asking, and praying Glasner will let him go. I'm still hoping that we can aid the process by whumping Utd next month, getting Amorin sacked, and Glasner will do the greatest act of hypocrisy ever and take the United job. Then again, the inconsistency of both United and Liverpool means that is no certainty.

We have a collection of really good players atm but not yet a cohesive team. It will come. We've had a difficult start to the season in terms of the fixtures as well, let's not forget. To come through that with near perfect results, albeit not one perfect performance, is encouraging.

We could surprise them and go for Wharton instead.

It didn't help, Dribs, but it doesn't explain why Konate played like a harpooned walrus, and Wirtz drifted about like that feather in Forrest Gump.

We need a no 6 who can double as a CB, for sure. Gravenberch can't, as we saw with that limp header on Saturday, or at least we couldn't really start him there in an important game. Ditto Endo.

Imo once palace scored they would have sat in.

The fact they got one off an error makes no difference. I wont even dispute luck as its an honest mistake by gravenberch and it could go anywhere I guess.

They got in several times to be denied by alisson so imo they've have scored one eventually. I dont think we can say thry wouldn't have scored as the act of getting a gaol.changed their outlook and they locked in on countering us

The second isn't luck either. Its bad defending. Its rank bad defending from kerkez to hack it out there. Its rank organisation to have a midget child anywhere in the box while mo watches on.

Its rank defending from frimpong as well.

As for the time of goal? Tough. Play to the whistle.

We got nothing from the game as we were poor.

Palace nearly lost 2 points because they got too negative. They have to learn that lesson or they'll be back at the bottom of the table quickly.
