Yeah, it's definitely the correct time for Birrell to move on. But what I'm less sure of is whether it's the correct time for Adams to take over? Might we need to go with a more experienced coach first, and leave Adams as a potential future option? I don't know.

Somerset won’t prepare any sort of result wicket for a dead rubber match. Not after the stick we rightly got for the Durham game.
I do think I want Durham to lose to Essex at this point. I know they've got Worcs next but they'd only get 4 points from this game and a draw for us would give us 11 points. So we'd have a 14 point lead over them with 2 games to go.
