Facetious and slightly flippant with a twist of wicked humour. I'm sure he'll appreciate it ,he's been very impish of late
Shame on you, I could never do such a thing. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I'm not having that, rest assured I won't be complaining to the scrubbers ermm mods. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
It’s Acun, the club have issued a statement on it. He hasn’t actually put money in, he’s written off debt instead, which is still good.
Taken in isolation ... true, fair enough. But it's not in isolation. Honestly, how much more evidence do the negative drama cynics need before accepting that he hasn't lost all interest, that he's not skint, that he's not selling us, that, that, that ..... I'm actually half tempted to dig out all those ridiculous quotes from this summer. It would make for a right laugh. A small handful have accused me of burying my head in the sand (and up his arse) etc, but seriously, how much more do those people need to see before they accept I'm right and they have been, whatever their intentions, spewing drama bs? And yes, one more time, I know he (or someone) ****ed up with the EFL which wasn't good and should never have been allowed to happen, and also that I have no problem with someone repeating what Bob the clubs taxi driver told them in confidence. But come on.
Today genuinely doesn’t prove anyone either way. He’s written off a large chunk of debt which is great credit to him. At this stage the intentions for which remain unclear. It could be either to make the club more attractive for a sale or a balancing of the books to make the club healthier PSR/FFP wise for whenever the the restrictions are lifted. As you’ve constantly gone on about only accepting facts and evidence. The only fact and evidence we have today is that the club is £14.5m less in debt to Acun Medya than it was 2 weeks ago.
I shifted £200 from my current account today, straight into my Hull City embossed leather wallet. My wallet was quite thick and although my current account was now sitting at £1.34 I took it(the wallet)to the pub to celebrate this magnificent achievement. I still had £201.34 in total but boy did I feel like the dogs bollox Anyway, not so smart now as I'd forgotten my one remaining direct debit for the month(mobile phone bill,£19) came out today and has left me in the red(and I spent £40 in the pub)
I’m perfectly happy to believe that GFAW is Acun and every time someone on here winds him up enough he’ll write off a few million quids worth of debt to bloody well show them. Carry on
Not sure if it got answered earlier, could this be anything to do with getting ready to sell the club ? I’m assuming if the debt is less then it looks more appealing ?
£19 for a mobile phone bill, feck that for a game, a tenner and change more than I'm paying. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Is there a clause in very small print that Acun Been away for a few days so missed this brewing. Bit sceptical myself because not many people 'write off' £15million pound. I've seen stuff like this over the years with City, debts 'written off' or turned into shares etc and every time there has been a sting in the tale, usually hidden deep in the very smallest of small print. Didn't Ehab do something similar? which we found out a few months later when the majority of the KLP sale and part of the Bowen sale were diverted to his account? Hope its genuine but experience tells me that this has been done for a reason and it looks familiarly like clearing the decks for a sale.
£7.95 a month for me on Talkmobile, a couple of years ago they rang me and told me that plan was no longer available and I'd have to switch to a more expensive one, with less gig. I told them I'd be looking for another provider, oddly they changed their mind. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Are there any accounting/tax incentives to doing this? I cannot see it as sale prep, that would just be done at the time as part of the sale. Wouldn’t make sense to do it now ahead of time. There’s ~£750k per year interest the club is now no longer liable for, I don’t know what impact that will have on the clubs accounts or FFP?
You’re not wrong in that there could be some long term exit plan for Acun if he were to sell. From my understanding is that the Allams last did something similar in 2017 way prior to the sale. They did make an arrangement with Acun allegedly to siphon on some money as part of Bowen’s sale. Just gut instinct but I think he’s done this to have a few options on the table. It certainly helps the clubs balance sheet which will help both the sale and the club if he were to continue on. Despite the back and forth on here there’s no doubt to me he’s got an exit plan. Today helps that.
