A Nuneaton businessman at the centre of a viral Sky News 'abuse' footage has issued a statement about the 'love and support' he has received since the incident. Zahin was being interviewed by the TV correspondent Shamaan Freeman-Powell in Queens Road when he became the subject of abuse.
A pleasing story for a change...
The footage has gone viral across the country and the Dessertz 2 Go businessman has said that it has led to an outpouring of love and support. He took to the Edward Street-based takeaway's page on Facebook to say he has been 'overwhelmed' by the response.
The 32-year-old also poignantly stated his pride in 'Britain' - which he described as 'my country, this is my home'- and the impact it has had on his life.
"I've been overwhelmed with love and support from everyone across the UK," the Facebook post reads. "This is my country, this is my home, I went to school, secondary school, college and university here.
"My best teachers were British and I will always remember them, my mates and the people I grew up with were British too, and till this day 99 per cent of my customers are British.
"I'm forever grateful for all the opportunities this country has given me. Big up to all my new followers and everyone who has DM'd showing love."
This Sunday (September 7) there will be meet and greet at the business at 104 Edward Street, from 3pm to 5pm.
"There’ll be complimentary pizzas, cake and ice cream and an amazing chance to connect with the local community," the post reads.

As for the two women, well the cops had arrested and are dealing with them, so a good outcome.
