Have a good feeling about this one. Similar to Seri and Alzate but more of a ball-winner. Having him sit deep to receive the ball off the keeper and centre-backs and offer protection defensively is what we’ve been lacking. It will give Lundstram freedom to carry the ball forward, which is what he’s best at, without us being completely exposed.
I feel that our summer signings have all followed a solid plan. Even Akintola, the customary Super Lig signing, makes sense.

That’s down to Martin Hodge I’d say.

Amir's first words....
I feel really excited to be here. I can’t wait to get started and play the first game.

The coach called me one month ago. He worked in Türkiye last year, so I know his mentality and how he wants to play. He likes to play offensive football and his team to be aggressive, which suits me as a player.

I feel great around the players – they have made me feel at home. I know the guys who played in Türkiye, and I played with David Akintola last year; we had a good connection and some great games at Rizespor.

I’ve been in Türkiye for almost 10 years. It will be a big challenge for me. I can’t wait for the games to start. With my experience, I can help the younger guys with some words. I will try to help them as much as I can, try to deliver my experience to them.

I hope I can be consistent. That’s the most important thing I want to give the fans – to keep consistency of good games and good results.

My best qualities are passing, build-up game – more like a playmaker. I think I can be a good help to the team. The stadium looks really impressive and I can’t wait to see it full.

They fit a profile don't they.

Midfielders big and athletic, wide players direct, forwards height and good in the air.

Even the centre halves are big and physical, whilst also being nice and injury prone.

Nope I think it’s all down to Acuns wheeling and dealing , only he should take the credit especially when the new guys do their ACL’s in the first few weeks

Meanwhile
Over at Sheffield Wednesday, there are reports tonight that the EFL have blocked all incoming deals the Owls had lined up. As many as four possible players were set to arrive but unless something dramatic changes, that will not happen.

On Abu Kamara
The deal is done, but the Spanish window doesn't close until 11pm our time so it doesn't need to be announced before 7pm here, but rest assured, it is complete. Loan with an option to buy, is my understanding.

Where they getting anyone decent.

Well Chansiri has relegated them.

Scary what a one man owner can do to a club if things turn sour.

I'm not one for absolving Acun, but I'm glad it's not turned into big protests and chants for him to leave, if he withdrew all of his funding we'd go the same way.
Yeah it's all on DC, but you feel like the EFLs punishments here are so punitive that they've just not got any chance, almost daring the owner to withdraw all funding let all players leave cos what's the point in even trying
