If anything, they're trying to encourage him to sell. He's not meeting his funding commitments as things stand.
So baz has said its shut. Nothing about Gyabi. Its like it was never a thing. Oh well. Decent window all things considered
Tbh even without Gyabi, I think the club have done bloody well to get in what they have given the restrictions, considering this is all frees and loans well done to them. At least it gives Serj a fighting chance.
Talking to a few weds fans this weekend and their fear is that he/weds owe a LOT of money, so unless he can sell the club for a crazy fee he'll lose out personally having to fund settlement of all debts....however.....if they go into admin and go bust all the creditors get stuffed whilst he retains the ownership of the ground through a different company which is the only thing around that club with any value. So what the EFL are doing, edging them further to admin could be what he now wants
less concerned if another cb gets injured now we have a proper midfield at least should stop the defence being a reconstruction of the gallipoli campaign
DONE DEAL - Darko Gyabi arrives City have made Darko Gyabi their final arrival of the summer, joining on a permanent deal from Leeds United.
Can debate back and forth around the limitations of the transfer window and who/why they were caused.....but I think this has ended up being a very solid b+ of a window, we've brought players in for each of the key areas we needed strengthening, incl the first genuine striking option we've had in years, done it all for a solid profit. The only downside I'd call out would be the injury prone CB signings otherwise we'll done all involved.
