Disappointing all in all really. I would be looking for loan for Giles and Palmer and trying to get in 3-4 more with their wages.
Might get
Might get one in before the end.
We'd need one to go to free up the wages though wouldn't we?
Prefer Tommy !!Only room for one cooper
And i choose baz
But what that the real reason why we didn't sign him? He was at the club, at the stadium and at the training ground, someone fancied he could do a job for us. If it was a 'fans backlash' it would have been a first for the club, but a nice little get out of jail card to play. There was definitely a online backlash when it was suggested we were looking at signing him, almost every comment was negative.

We're restricted to one out one in remember.

Also what is an 'on line backlash'? Half a dozen on here, maybe a few more on twitter, or a handful of **** stirrers posting countless times? The club have never took notice of the fans before and a proper professional club should make their own decisions and stand by them, not hide behind a 'fans backlash' to welch on a deal as happened in this case. Maybe Liam Cooper would have joined a long line of sick notes at the club, as this regime have a history of signing, maybe he could have been an outstanding success too? We will never know.
Back in the day I remember a very young Mick Hartford, centre forward for Lincoln, who knocked us out of the League Cup over two legs, something like 7-1, maybe more on aggregate. Hartford scoring most of them. No social media or on line stuff in those days just old fashioned letters to Sportsmen Say in the HDM, and they poured in, all demanding City put a bid in for Hartford. It was common knowledge that he was up for sale. Also remember fans shouting up at the Directors Box in the home leg for us to sign him. We didn't and he went onto to score some 180 odd goals for various clubs and gain two England caps. We finished up in Division 4.
I just didn't like the way Baz Cooper immediately pointed the finger of blame at the fans when the Liam Cooper deal fell flat in its face seemingly overnight. I thought he could have done a job for us at the time.
Doesn't matter now, obviously.
The reason Cooper didn't sign was we chsnged our minds and only offered him 1 year whereas they offered him 2 years on about 20k a weekIf it was then it was equally a load of old tosh as I said at the time. We've never had a problem with signing ex Leeds players. I posted at the time that I didn't remember any fans backlash when we signed Billy Bremner, his signing actually doubled our gate for his home debut. Liam Cooper, local lad and a player of vast experience and ex captain of Leeds was here at the club, at the stadium, excepting to sign for us, but didn't and Baz Cooper blamed pressure and complaints from the fans claiming the club pulled the plug on the deal because of it. I don't know of anyone who complained and did not believe a word of it. We never did get to know the real reason he didn't sign which I'd guess was money.
If we play this cleverly. Yes Crystal Palace, the price is £20M but if Liverpool don’t want their deal to collapse also, please send us some star freebies.Palace move for a CB has been hijacked by West Ham. They are now scrambling for a CB…
Also the interpreter needs to teach Alphabet to say "Up the ****ing Tigers." Nothing can happen until he can say that. We're still waiting for the guy who takes the video - until he turns up we can't sign anyone
