Can't remember where I saw it, but someone had said about Tennants, if they called it El Tennantino's and stuck a pic of a Spanish farmer on the can they could sell that **** for 6.50 a pint in yer pubs
Thank you. Reckon I could still do a job as a defensive midfielder as long as referees were lenient (the ball might get past but their player wouldn’t!)
Some big news.... I'm told Ivor Pandur is staying. Nothing is happening with him this afternoon, so it now looks like City have been able to keep Pandur and Charlie Hughes beyond the window. That's a massive boost.
I thought Hull City fans were up in arms and bombarding the club with complaints if we bought or loaned any players from Leeds United according to Baz Cooper, and the club to be fair, when we didn't sign Cooper last season? Proves what a load of 5hite that excuse was.
Darko Gyabi looks like a good signing to me. He fits the type of CM Sergej said he wants. Reminds me a bit of Bissouma at spurs the way he likes to turn and run.
Wasn't that specifically about Cooper re. his switching allegiances and stuff, not to do with signing players from Leeds (like Gelhardt!!)
Agreed in principle, but lets see if that's the case at 7pm. I'd say the offers received so far have not been enough, which with agent and player power might cause them, particularly in the case of Pandur, to put in a transfer request and/or threaten to down tools. TBH I wouldn't discount movement at around 6pm or even later right up to the 7pm or beyond if agreement has been reached.
That was down to him being 33 and having been out for most of the previous two seasons. Turns out it was probably a good move, the club he did go to have just released him a year early.
And and the fact he supported City all his life then conveniently had always been a Leeds fan. Compare that to Coyle who has never denied being a Leeds fan (despite most people thinking he's 'Hull through and through' and is a City fan) just to curry favour. Respect him for that.
If it was then it was equally a load of old tosh as I said at the time. We've never had a problem with signing ex Leeds players. I posted at the time that I didn't remember any fans backlash when we signed Billy Bremner, his signing actually doubled our gate for his home debut. Liam Cooper, local lad and a player of vast experience and ex captain of Leeds was here at the club, at the stadium, excepting to sign for us, but didn't and Baz Cooper blamed pressure and complaints from the fans claiming the club pulled the plug on the deal because of it. I don't know of anyone who complained and did not believe a word of it. We never did get to know the real reason he didn't sign which I'd guess was money.
