Let's, once again, look at the actual facts.

OUT (in this "Fire Sale", "Not a firesale per se but ..." )
Selles
2 Assistants
Simons (sold)
Racioppi (sold)
Smith (sold)
Mehlem (sold)
Macca (sold)
A Jones (sold)
Alzate (sold)
Kamara (sold stc)
Sinik (released)
Amrabat (released)
Pedro (released)
Foster (released)
C Jones (released)
Fleming (released)
Puerta (returned/contract voided)
Jacob (loan - not returning)
Omur (loan - not returning)
Burstow (loan - suspect not returning)
+
TLT (loan, returning)
R Coyle (loan, returning)
Cartwright (loan, suspect returning)

That's some impressive clearing up. I understand a bit of debate could be had over maybe a couple of players in that list depending on which side of the fan base split (over said players) you sit, but that's all. I don't think there's even 1 player on that list that the fan base would unanimously be saying why the **** have we let him go.

Now lets look at who's come in.

Jakirovic
3 assistants
+ Hodges
McBurnie
Williams
Destan
Ajayi
Akintola
Famewo
Philips
Gelhardt (loan)
Lundstram (loan - likely view to permanent)
Ndala (loan)
Hadziahmetovic (loan stc - likely view to permanent)
Laalaoui (loan until permanent stc)
Giles (back in from the cold)

(stc = subject to confirmation / completion)

A more than impressive window tbf.

On top of all that, I fully expect Furlong, and maybe Vaughan too, to still exit and then be replaced with upgrades in positions were further depth or strengthening would be welcome.

Yes, there's a chance that Panda and Hughes may still end up leaving. I don't believe the club are wanting to sell at this stage, and I don't think either of them are pushing for a move .... but the fact is, if a big money offer comes in for either from the right club then their heads would possibly be turned and they could be gone. So long as it's not last minute, it's highly likely we'd replace them.

But anyway, crack on with the dramatic, self defeating, fact-warping rhetoric if it makes some feel better. I'll continue to stick with actual facts and realities :emoticon-0148-yes:

have a day off

It was actually me that touched on the erm selling of assets so you're probably having a go at the wrong bloke.

As for the latest edition of war and peace,****ing hell mate, give it a rest, you're clearly obsessing a bit too much ...It's a forum FFS,not a competition into how much time you can spend researching .

If you believe you're right, there's no need to keep trying to prove it...Chill out FFS.

It took 10 mins to piece together from a quick Google. It was interesting for me to take a look at exactly who has come in and gone out.
Yes, I know you were one of them. Bit surprised tbh.
Now how about someone actually commenting on the topic? Do you concede that actually there is no "fire sale" at all and that it's actually a very good window so far (coaching team + player ins & outs)?

Not sure who “Hodges” is, but the assistant manager is Dean Holden. Or Holdens, if you prefer.

Martin Hodge isn’t coaching staff, he’s the chief scout (in old money).

Oops sorry. Not first time I've mixed their names up. Actually that's another name to add to the ins. Corrected now

I don’t think it’s a fire sale at all , it’s the typical annual comings and goings of a striving football club who are shedding players near their end of contract who you don’t want to renew, young uns maybe , old ones , failed ones . The only exception is the loan of Kamara which is based on what you need and having an abundance of a position so wanting or forced into prudent economics - best in mind the manager has a say based on his assessment also .

We've blatantly cashed in on Alzate, Jones, Macca and had to shift Kamara on loan to bring in frees.

And the shifting of Deadwood only that impressive because it's entirely due to prior profligacy we had that amount of deadwood on the books to start with.

Short and sharp answer,no,I don't concede there is no selling off assets to run the business and let's not forget we've still got a few days to go yet.As for the window,it has been forced on him through his own incompetence, though I'd agree that it's stronger than I expected(and I commented so) but the bar was pretty low,as his previous attempts have been ****ing dreadful!!

We'll find out if it's prudent business and a good window when the wages become visible, which is some way off and I suspect he won't be here to criticise when that time comes.

Anyway, that's it for me,I draw a line at day long pissing contests.

Like I said,it's a forum of opinions and there is no onerous burden on anyone to provide proof of their theories and thoughts/beliefs:emoticon-0148-yes:

We can't register Amir until we get Kamara off the wagebill, you do realise that, don't you?

Hopefully H's medical goes smoothly today and his signing is wrapped up.
Then Furlong and Vaughan out on loans or permanents freeing up space for possibility of 2 signings to further strengthen where needed, then we're good to go. Decent window if that happens.
Should speed up the sale that's been bubbling away for more than a year now :emoticon-0136-giggl.
In all seriousness now [HASHTAG]#noreally[/HASHTAG]. Some may remember that I posted end of April before it broke that Selles was on his way. I started doubting the source in the last few days before it was confirmed on 15th May. From pretty much the horses mouth, as we all know, Acun has been open to incoming investment so long as he retains a controlling interest )yes, unlikely to happen). He's had 2 'unsolicited' approaches to take over control of the club that he's rejected as he doesn't want to hand over control. As 1 or 2 others have said, I couldn't care less who believes this or not. There you go.

Why don't you tell him to give it up and move on. He's had a go and it hasn't worked out. That'll let us get back to being civil with each other .
