Aye Willy l’m well settled now miss match days & family often but l’ve found my place.Started off in shields, travelled a lot for work but got offered a permanent role in Norway and did 3 years in Oslo, was living near the embassies in majoruston, moved to Doha and it’s the biggest mistake of my life.
Oslo and Norway a place I wish I could get back to and settle.
Born in Princes street Bishop.Born Bishop Auckland moved to Darlington late 70s with work moved to Durham late 80s as wife wanted to be closer to home. Moved to Chester le Street early 90s and still here now although down sizing and moving on has been mentioned quite a few times lately by Mrs W. I think there will be another move in the offing.

First came looking for work ‘77 found my now wife - moved to the smoke (Leytonstone) ‘85 - moved out to Chelmsford eventually sold up returned S/land ‘89.

Mid 1980s my army unit went on exercise to Norway every year for three months, January to March. Spent the first half of it down south in Voss. Second half was spent up north in Tromsø. I have to agree with you that it is, or at least was, a beautiful country.such an awesome and chilled place, jealous.
Have a visa through to 2027 but finding work aint easy to keep it valid.
