Moved around a fair bit. Started off in Langley Moor but moved when 4 so can't remember anything from there then Framwellgate Moor till I was working in Newcastle and lived in Jesmond for a while but moved back to Durham (Crossgate Moor) when got married. Then moved to work in Bristol and lived in Yatton, a small village between Bristol and Weston super Mud, then Gunnislake on the Cornwall Devon border. Then St Austell and later Barripper, a small village just outside Camborne. Then I retired just on the housing crash so couldn't sell easily so bought a wreck in Crook to get back home and rented it out till sold the house in Cornwall and moved to Witton Gilbert where we live now.
Little piece of land in Tolmie in the foothills of the Australian Alps, nearish the ski resort at Mt Buller.
The town used to be called Wombat, it has about 400 people living here spread out amongst the hills and the bush, there is a pub and that's it. The nearest town with any facilities is 30 Kms away.
Think our cottage is at 950m above sea level. Lots of interesting wildlife. Very simple and slow way of life.
Intend to do some landscaping and planting across the 10 acres we live on once we have sorted out the house.
It's as beautiful a place to live and die as any.

Sold up in ‘02 and returned to my fraternal roots.
Having Noggin the Nog (Norwegian) blood am now well settled in Norway. Just outside Oslo.
No chance of moving back to sunnny Sunderland - tho the SOL is a big miss. KTF

I was born in Sunderland. Moved through work to Thatcham in Berkshire. Again through work, moved to Prague in 2002, then Vilamoura in Portugal in 2007, then Albufeira in 2009.
Returned to the UK and retirement in the Borough of Sunderland.

Born in Sunderland Royal Hospital and grew up in Millfield, don't live there now, but my mam does so I still regularly drink round there in the Isis and the Vaults. I used to be able to see the floodlights at Roker from my bedroom window. I still live in Sunderland, but I'm not saying where, I like a bit of privacy and mystery!

Lived the majority of my life in Ouston...brief spells in Chester le street town centre and low pittington (nr Belmont)...been 10 and a bit years in Ely, East Cambs now. All great places but the weather is a lot, lot, LOT better in Cambridgeshire!

Went to Belmont Comp for my last two years at school.Lived the majority of my life in Ouston...brief spells in Chester le street town centre and low pittington (nr Belmont)...been 10 and a bit years in Ely, East Cambs now. All great places but the weather is a lot, lot, LOT better in Cambridgeshire!
