That surprises me, thought homegrown would have been UK and Ireland. Should be the same as the international rule then, whereby someone can qualify to play for a country through their ancestry. No good having 1 rule for 1 thing and another rule for something else.
Just been reading the write up on DCL. They haven’t released his salary (shock…) but what tickled me was ‘he played a major role in the u20 World Cup in 2017’. If you gotta go back 8 years to youth level football for a highlight; it’s probably not a great pickup.
At 70 minutes, there was only one team who were going to go on and win it. Sheff U were a done force at that point. Just Like Old Trafford with Gus back in 2014, I never had any doubts, not a single one we would win..
‘On his way’ Don’t we kinda know he’s already here? Was this the flight we were watching this morning?
Assuming Mukelele signs, if we can get Lucumi over the line too, that would be our defence sorted, like the midfield has been. Just a high level forward and we'll have sealed all boxes. Unbelievable window regardless.
The way I see the new lad. We are paying to PSG what they paid for him a couple of years ago. My overarching sense is he maybe hasnt improved since then, or alternatively become valuable to PSG. Therefore he is available at the price he is. Trying to work out why clubs pay or sell at prices is tricky. It isnt always about the pure talent of the player. Selling clubs have factors in play, buying clubs may see a fit to their squad, player may suit an environment better. Now I would not pay £10m for Broadhead, but I can see Wrexham and their fans valuing a Welsh core in an attempt to create a certain club atmosphere.
Sorry but you don’t know what you’re talking about. All the pundits on the telly said that Sunderland were second best for long periods and the result was harsh on Sheffield United. You need to know your place
Its a valid point mate. Bit like the Liverpool keeper that Brentford bought this summer (cant even attempt at spelling it), i thought his fee was low for such a highly rated keeper, but Liverpool were obviously happy with the deal.
