Could someone explain like to an ignoramus how the McBurnie signing was possible.

Sold and loaned a lot of players brought in fees which showed we can make commitments, no fee for oli so could meet wage demand so they just moved what they could on to make it happen.

This is all becoming too optimistic. As someone who loves church funerals and hates church weddings, could we all just return to the good ole days, full of nostalgia and sometimes regret...if we could just have held out and gone to non-league...ever the dreamer me.

Just a thought.

Is McBurnie a great signing only because, we're under fee restrictions?

What would we think if we could spend money and signed McBurnie on a free instead of spending money for Frigan?
<sorry>

I think it’s a very good signing regardless. We had to rely on an ageing Pedro, who couldn’t really chase down the lost causes or be really effective in the press. He did bring other qualities though.

I think with McBurnie and Joseph we have 2 players who won’t give the opposition defence a minute. The former will also be licking his lips if Giles can continue with his refound deliveries!

It would still be a solid signing. More of a proven quantity than Frigan. If it's a case of one or the other then I'd prefer McBurnie.
