Looks like we definitely want both. If the ban is reduced to one window can we do loan with obligations?
Went as good as it could, hopefully just one more now, although I may now need surgery on my knee on the leg that got caught under everything as well. I just thought it was bruising and impact stuff but it's not getting better so got a meeting with the knee surgeon tomorrow to figure it out ...... It never rains and all that haha
As I understand it, yes, even if reduced to just two windows (as by the summer it will expire). However, it is likely we'll be monitored by the EFL in some form beyond that - likely under a form of conditional registrations where we need prior approval - so we'd still need to meet their expectations. I think if it is reduced, we will go for it and maybe with a bit of wangling will be done like we've already seen, we may see a lower outlay with big sell on (50% like Omur and Destan). We may try and cash out Kamara too (had interest and we've signed a few wingers).
It seems that McBurnie was all set to sign for us on 1st July before the embargo stuff happened, and now it sounds like he's going to agree to come anyway (perhaps for less money than previously agreed?) despite offers from other clubs in a better position than us. Obviously wages will be a big part of it, but it's still quite promising that we seem to be towards the front of the queue on this one, as well as Lundstram coming who must've also had other offers. This is a far cry from last summer when we were turned down again and again by various strikers.
The money we have offered him is way above what others have offered, he's always got other decent offers to fall back on if we can't get it sorted. The friendly faces are definitely helping though
Does anyone know what McBurnie's link to Crooks is? Think it was mentioned that Crooks and Egan were trying to convince him, but it doesn't look like they played together anywhere.
Akintola next. McBurnie potentially next Still want Frigan depending on the outcome of the EFL hearing.
I've got a very good firm looking after it for me, tbf as anyone would, I rather just everything heal properly and have no long term issues etc instead, but it's not looking that way so I'll be going for absolutely everything I can, especially after some of the things I've found out re the manufacturing, what they knew and didn't disclose to us....
Someone let me know when there is sight of a Bell 505, 407, or a 429 landing on Hymers field. I'll run down to the MKM with my autograph book clasped tightly in my fist.
