I pretty much agree with this as unless a club like ours has an injury crisis or the young player is a top talent he probably won't get game time but further down the pyramid he can get real world experience .I think on some level thst if you are thst good you'd play for your club Leicester for example, or Sunderland or derby or Fulham and be further along by the time you are 19 or 20 that most of our crop of imported youngsters are.
I think it's merely a symptom of the games problems just like chelsea having 70 or 80 players on the books.
Or villa selling a women's team to balance their books.
Etc.
Mind you it helps if you are built like Tom Huddlestone whose debut at 16 i remember seeing and going "is he **** 16 ! "
