I think on some level thst if you are thst good you'd play for your club Leicester for example, or Sunderland or derby or Fulham and be further along by the time you are 19 or 20 that most of our crop of imported youngsters are.

I think it's merely a symptom of the games problems just like chelsea having 70 or 80 players on the books.

Or villa selling a women's team to balance their books.

I pretty much agree with this as unless a club like ours has an injury crisis or the young player is a top talent he probably won't get game time but further down the pyramid he can get real world experience .
Mind you it helps if you are built like Tom Huddlestone whose debut at 16 i remember seeing and going "is he **** 16 ! "

Yeah, theres been a few. Rooney was a hairy backed neanderthal at 16 too.

25 – Giorgi Mamardashvili

30 – Jeremie Frimpong

Bradley moved his to 12. Im sure he would have wanted 2 but there you go.

Kekez takes 6 but would have liked 3.

Frimpong grabs his old number of 30. Seems happy.

Wirtz climbs into diaz's bed, still warm. The club knew he was going all along.

And nyoni moves his number in preparation for europe. I cant recall now but is there some rule about maximum shirt numbers in europe?

Wirtz 7 new adidas shirts going to fly off the shelves. Be a huge marketing one that.

New home and away shirts revealed this morning as well - be nice to get back to classic adidas lfc shirts albeit the leaks of the away ones I’m not huge fan of

Would expect nunez to go next then isak to arrive wearing 9.

Massive deal.

I think there have been a few instances over the years when players have played a different number in European competitions to their usual shirt number e.g. Reina wearing 12 in CWC in 2005. Seeing as Trent always wore his 66, I'm guessing (without looking it up) that there's no restrictions now.

Yeah, I just have something in my head about some maximum number i heard about but have no idea where it was from.

The only thing I found so far is you are allowed to wear 1 to 99 by uefa.

So thats not a reason for nyoni to change to a different large number.

Maybe the lad is a Douglas Adams fan and feels he simply the ultimate answer to everything.

Nice little Hitchhiker reference there.

The only other thing I found on numbers was that two different players can't wear the same number in one season which is obvious really.

The club has put out all the usual promo stuff about the new kit. One video shows the players 'choosing' a shirt, Wirtz was quite excited about the long sleeves. We'll see if any of them actually wear the long sleeved version. All I think when I see it is Torres. What great times we had with him in the Adidas long sleeves.
 
They will be putting the Forever 20 patch on the shirt somewhere. Not clear whether it will be front and centre like they did with the Nike shirt on tour or on the sleeve.
