Seems like Kenneth Paal has joined Antalyaspor and Jeffrey Schlupp has joined Norwich. It really is time Giles started earning the massive the salary he’s on.

Looks like he'll get his chance. I do wonder with Furlong's comments in his interview with the club whether he'll be kept on as the backup as well?

Thing with Giles is I think Jakirović is flexible enough to try and actually play to his strengths, reduce his defensive commitments and allow him to attack more. Then we should see the best out of him.

Still find it bizarre people want Shelvey to sign permanently. Even with a fee restriction, that is desperate.

That's me basing on it looking likely he'll sign rather than a great desire for him to. However if Jakirović fancies him for the season, it can't be that bad having him as cover in the squad until Matazo is back in Jan-ish surely.

Furlong isn’t good enough. Giles absolutely can be, hopefully Jakirovic is the one to do it.

Turkish media seem to think Lundstram will leave without compensation or significantly lower than the €4 million remaining on his contract.

It begs the question of what’s in it for him to come to us on a free transfer then.

id imagine he wants out from trabzon, its not even just being in turkey
its in the middle of nowhere

this is probably the only way he can get to play back in england/uk

He was on over £33K-a-week there though, which means we probably have to match that or offer more. We can’t offer him a signing-on bonus or pay agent fees either.

Again, it just seems like a very expensive, short-term signing.
