Jesus that’s not good
Is it legit this interest or just tits on Twitter doing it??

Baz has said it’s legit. He also said we’re still trying to sign McBurnie despite the EFL vetoing it and that it’s McBurnie or Frigan now but not both. He seems to suggest that Frigan is Jakirović’s preference but the club have been targeting McBurnie for a while.

Acun’s meddling is actually detrimental to this club. I don’t care how but he needs to be prevented from making executive football decisions now whether it’s him selling the club, being arrested in Turkey or hit by a bolt of lightning.

When does this window close? Going off usual dates it’ll be Monday 1st September 11pm.
When it closes, I’ll believe all the rumours & HDM stories & see how many come true!

Kalman you really need to chill out, going to give yourself an aneurysm.

We get you don't like Acun and will criticise anything the club does whilst he's here, but we can't win recruitment wise with you.

No free agents signing = bad
Free agent signing with champ experience = bad

I thought Ajayi was a good signing so nuh-uh.

Famewo would also be a solid signing as well as he’s versatile despite his injury problems. My objection is to signing overweight has-beens on huge wages in midfield when the coach wants ‘pace and power’. It sounds like the head coach wants one thing that he’s very clear about and the ‘brain team’ are just doing their own thing again.

The latter for me. Would love to see that. So long as City are the only beneficiaries in his will.

Basically on this forum most players we are signing are total failures. , must be heartening as a player to get the support before you’ve even stepped on the grass .
We have no clue as to how they might turn out .
To be fair a player being told he is crap by someone on here is the equivalent of a barman being told he pulls a rubbish pint by a 7 year old Muslim kid.

They will get the feedback they need from the coaching staff and laugh at anything else I'm sure.

How many "Pacy and Powerful" midfielders are we going to find on free's? :emoticon-0138-think

To be fair they aren't the only two options are they.

It does seem quite obvious that us signing more Turkish league players on massive wages will turn out to be a bad idea, and also that not signing anyone in the vain hope that our restrictions will be totally overturned one day soon is a bad idea too.

I don't know why we can't consider some more sensible, cheaper signings in our current predicament and I think it's a reasonable question to ask.

It’s a tough call between Frigan and McBurnie.

On one hand, Frigan is Jakirovic’s top target, and has bags of potential, so city should drop the McBurnie interest and support the chosen manager; on the other hand, McBurnie has the track-record and, at 29, probably still has a few good years in him.

If it wasn’t for Acun’s financial mess you’d ideally want both.

Again, selling Simons for £300K is looking even sillier the longer pre-season goes on. Was he a world-beater? No. However, he’s strong, athletic and in good shape. He’s also still young and can improve. At best, he could’ve had a decent pre-season and at worst, he’s another midfielder for squad depth. £300K from Bolton and getting his wages off the books when there are players on much, much more seems like a drop in the ocean unless we were that desperate for cash to pay bills (which is a worry in itself). Simons would’ve played most, if not all, of our pre-season games so far. We could’ve even kept him around and sold him later in the window if we signed more midfielders and he was surplus to requirements.

The entire transfer policy since Acun bought the club in 2022 has been arse-backwards. We sell dependable players who are considered ‘not good enough’ because we think we can sign better then spend weeks chasing these so-called better players as replacements at huge cost in both time and resources, then we end up selling them a year later too.
