I would like make a nomination for idiot (s) of the week this week - those fans at Priestfield yesterday unable to follow the simple instructions repeated several times to not applaud at the end of the last post as the silence would start on the refs whistle when the bugler finished.

Keir Starmer ....... ps - anyone of YOU who's had a parking ticket is a convicted criminal !
In PMQ time he said that Boris Johnson & Rishi Sunak had 'convictions' -- (( because of their penalty notices for attending a party during Covid lockdown. ))

I can accept that Starmer hasn't got a clue when it comes to being a Politician - let alone being Prime Minister - BUT -- as a former Lawyer and former Head of the CPS ( Criminal Prosecution Service ), he really should know that Fixed Penalty Notices are NOT criminal convictions...... what an idiot !....... Still - I now understand why his father was a very good tool-maker !

Mind you - Starmer does have a 'merciful' side to his nature -- or have you forgotten his legendary quote in Parliament '' Free the Sausages '' (( when he meant to say hostages. ))... I nearly wet myself laughing.

Joint award to two referees yesterday........although Man Utd's goalkeeper, Onana might want to be included.
I thought the ref at Priestfield was a bit stupid and 'picky' at kick-off times..... I nearly lost count at the number of starts there were to the game - because players were a bit too eager to get on with it..............................

............ and 'getting-on-with-it' was all the Onana wanted to do - especially in the 97th minute - with Man Utd losing to Forest... He tried to take a quick free kick ((( which should have been about 7-8 yards inside his half))).... The idiot threw the ball about 10 yards into the Forest half , and started a run-up...... and was met with the ref's whistle and finger - pointing out that the ball needed to go back a long way... Onana picked up the ball - and again placed it inside the Forest half.... The ref continued to point his finger and yelled at Onana - who was going into 'meltdown.'... He picked up the ball and placed in on the half-way line....Cue the shouty ref's pointy finger.... Onana picks up the ball and moves it back about a yard.... Ref is still not impressed and shouts at Onana etc ... ((( I reckon he only escaped a booking for time wasting because Man Utd were losing )))** ...Onana then moved back two or three yards - but threw the ball forward - to more or less the same place as the previous attempt.... By now the ref probably had lost the will to live. He allowed Onana to have his extra couple of yards. .. A couple of seconds later the ref whistled to end the game.

** Many years ago, at Brighton , Gills were losing 2-4 with virtually no time left to play... Gills had a throw-in -- which was being taken by Richard Rose (( who was already on a booking. )) ...As usual, Rose struggled to find a Gills player who bothered to move into a position to receive the ball - and Rose was taking a long time over a simple throw..... So long that the referee then booked him for time wasting ! - despite his team losing by 2 goals .

I didn't think I'd laugh again so soon.........in view of the misery over the weekend !

(( I should have posted the post in the ARGRS thread - about the idiotic health Minister - who has, at least been sacked for being an idiot. ))

Today, another CloT of a Labour MP has been exposed as part of the Whatsapp group - that have been exposed for their Racism and Sexism - and plenty more non-virtuous characteristics............ The latest idiot is Oliver Ryan ( Burnley .) In his Whatsapp messages, he has used derogatory and homophobic remarks against a fellow Labour MP - who is gay ......... and yet - Ryan himself, is openly GAY ! -- or should I say, a stupid gay.

It was a difficult choice ... either this idiot - or Hoyle (( greedy, hypocritical Speaker of the House of Commons )) - in the end, I gave it to the pathetic woman in the article....... Please, be careful not to wet yourself laughing at her self pity when you read that (( as a single person )), her monthly food bill is £500 ( it shows ! ), and that, on £100,000 a year she struggles to pay for several holidays a year - and a cleaner, someone to do her ironing, and a gardener, and somebody to walk her dog - my heart bleeds !

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/m...mfortable-heres-why.html?ico=mol_desktop_home
....as for Hoyle - did I mention he 's nothing but a greedy b'std. ?

I don't think one will ever be beaten ! The vote goes to the Government !.....................
....... and, of course, to everyone who voted for them - for being blind and not see ' it ' coming !

If I was an Afghan I would be given a free plane ride to Britain - where I would be given everything for FREE !... I wouldn't have to work or pay ANY tax - or make any contribution into paying for essential services - where I would be allowed to go to the front of the queue.... The only thing the Afghanis would have to do for themselves is to wipe their arse --- a service for which I will have to pay when the time comes (( and will have to sell my home to pay for the privilege. ))

I am not an Afghan (( or any other illegal immigrant.)) ...I am a humble pensioner in the UK... I have worked for decades and paid income tax , National Insurance, VAT, Council Tax etc, etc, etc.... I have paid into the system - yet I have to pay for private dental treatment - and - recently I had to go private ( nearly £5,000 ), for an operation - to avoid waiting on the NHS until I was dead !........ and - long may this heatwave continue - because I won't be getting a Winter Fuel Allowance.

Our Chancellor bores us silly with her £20 Billion black hole (( marginally smaller than the hole in the middle of her face )) - yet - the Government is quite happy to spend £7 Billion of my tax to pay for thousands more so-called refugees to come to Britain - to 'sponge' off the taxpayer...... and don't forget that will be on top of the £41,000 per year that it costs the taxpayer (( you & me )), for every one of the immigrants.

..... and what's really farcical is that it's going to cost another £1 Billion in compensation when the Afghan immigrants have sued the Government for recklessly leaking data about their identities. .....

... so - do you dare to disagree with my choices for the award of best idiots ?

To be fair I'm not sure what the current government was meant to do, they were handed the problem by the Tories, as it happened on Tory watch. I know we can say well don't go giving or spending out on £7B, and while I might agree, we are obliged morally to help people that have helped our troops in the past.

On a slightly separate note but around the same sort of thing, I actually don't believe in govermental compensation claims of many kinds.

    Example being the NHS:

For me in life there are risks related to care, when we get compensation that has to come from somewhere, that place will be the same purse that dictates how efficiently the NHS is being run.

So when taking money out, it may reimburse a victim, but it could potentially lead to more suffering for others due to a lack of funding, as evidenced in the conditions at every accident and emergency ward, and ambulance throughout the country. When we can least afford it.

The agenda isn't just against Labour ! I am unimpressed with most politicians - however, history will show (( and continues to show )), that Labour will raise tax and throw money at unions and scroungers... The Conservatives have many faults - but - when it comes to money, they are very much less of a liability than Labour.
My main agenda is the disgraceful waste of money ( my tax and yours ) on so-called asylum seekers. It's obscene what is thrown at the boat people - and absolutely nothing is being done to stop any more arriving at Dover... and to be clear - both Conservatives and Labour have been totally useless with the problem.
Under Conservatives and ( more so ) Labour, the UK is becoming bankrupt - it will follow what happened in Greece a few years back.. The UK is very close to being an economic mess - and Labour is speeding up the process......

.... but - good news - football season is only a couple of weeks away.

There are idiots who are not Labour MPs !..... I don't want another 4 years of the same crap - and paying heavily for the privilege !
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/...-Britain-no-longer-rich-nation-afford-it.html
You don't need to 'open' the article - the headline is idiotic enough !
For the last 4 seasons Gills have scored very few goals -- and now can't beat a side containing 4 ex- Gills players . Ebbsfleet were humiliated at the bottom of the National League last season and had a minus 60 goal difference... I 'm not sure if I have 4 more years left - perhaps it won't matter which Political party I should choose at the next General Election.... Perhaps Gioblues could suggest one - or should I ask a 12 year old (( who will be eligible to vote in 2029 ! ))

You'll know by now that I am a humble pensioner - and a loyal fan of Gills - although I am not filled with a lot of hope for my 63rd year of going to Priestfield..... I'm not sure what the Daily Mail reporter, Stephen Glover had for breakfast before he wrote the (above) article - but I think it contained an ingredient called ' ****forbrains. '

Mr. Glover talks about the State Pension 'triple-lock' - as not being viable / affordable for the Nation... I'm not sure if I totally disagree - because Britain is drowning in a sea of debt - costing £16 Billion just to service the debt !... We're broke and cannot afford anything - - and certainly not the £ 7000 ( taxpayer money ), that the Deputy PM, Angela Raynor has spent on a bed for her taxpayer funded property.

.....So, if I am not disagreeing with Mr. Glover's statement, why do I think he is an idiot ?...... Because he has chosen to attack pensioners - whose only financial protection is the precious triple-lock. ... And, let's be very clear - the triple-lock is on a pension which has been paid for - over decades of working and paying National Insurance, along with Income Tax (( much of it at 33%.)) -- The State Pension is not a 'hand-out.'....... and yet, Mr. Glover chooses to ignore HUGE 'Elephants-in-the-room.'.....there are definitely more than one 'elephant' - but - my ' pet ' elephant ---- whom I have named '' alwaysright's agenda '' is the ridiculous money ( my tax ), that is being thrown at the ever-increasing number of boat people arriving..... The latest independent financial calculation is that it costs taxpayers around £ 41,000 a year for each boat person - with each of them not paying one penny in tax etc....I can disclose that I do not receive even a quarter of £ 41,000 for a pension for which I have paid for decades - and yet, according the idiotic Mr. Glover, I am not worthy of my triple-lock.
