Quite right. It does take all sorts and thank goodness it does. I just don't expect to be battered about the head continuously by some 'sorts' to the point where I think there might be a mental health problem at work. Hence the 'ignore' so I won't be reading them anyway.

Like I said I'm a miserable pessimist most of the time, particularly after this season and partially the promotion season too, well I thought I was....I'm not so sure now.

I wonder if those with "mental health problems" are feeling in anyway vindicated?

I'm sure there'll be an apology incoming for being so crass. <laugh><laugh>

Well everyone can get as angry as they want, boooo, get put on ignore by me (because I'm a pessimist but frankly I find it tiresome and wearing) but everything I've read says he picks his line-ups to suit the players at his disposal, he changes tactics to suit his players and opponents and can do that during a game. Everything we have been moaning about for four/five managers in a row. He is young so willing and clearly learning as he develops.

It is almost as if Spors has watched the team and in the background, heard the anger of the fans and said 'This is what we need to do'.

But no let us moan, booo him before he has even set foot in Southampton FC, and really blow our tops if we lose a game in the first five.

These posts are aging really well. <laugh>

Every man and his dog was lining up to have a pop at me.

You can bookmark any of my SR posts for in 2 years time when we're the south coast Stoke. I'm sure everyone will be happy to apologise for giving me both barrels <cheers>

Thing is, it was obviously a dumb appointment.

Loads of us said it toward the start of the thread.

You can’t throw a 32yo young manager into club that is so broken. We needed experience, calm leadership
