For sure, signed as that years Ballon D’or winner so defo at height of his career. It’s more the others in that list that went onto achieve greater things after their time with Saints. Wouldn’t be a bad 5 a side that right…
I think that Shilts gets forgotten too but he won 49 of his England caps with us and was World Class.
Very true! Is actually so difficult to fit them all into 5, we’ve had some unbelievable players over the years
I think a more appropriate description would be “not the most gifted of footballers”
