If we’re talking best 5 in a Saints shirt it’s gotta be: Le Tiss, Keegan, Channon, Paine & Lambert

If we’re talking most talented 5 players to have played for Saints but not necessarily at their best during their time with us then it’s; Shearer, Bale, Mane, Van Dijk & Keegan

It’s the five players you enjoyed watching the most. I didn’t put Long in because he is the most talented, but simply because he put a smile on my face.

:emoticon-0148-yes: There’s so many but I like Davis (Ron) for his head, Niemi for his spectacular shot stopping, Grobelaar for his entertainment and Ings for his loyalty and fitness

I don't think loading is old enough for Ron. Think he meant Super Kelv?

Oo okay, missed the original post! In that case, my top 5 to have actually watched in a Saints shirts are probably Le Tiss, Lallana, Tadic, Mane & Lambert (too young for any before the 90s)

I haven't got him but he did score some stunning individual goals for us, a bit like Beatts but not for so long.

His goals got most of the attention obviously but he was so good technically and great to watch imo.

Shame injuries/fitness have ruined his career somewhat. Superb player.

Such lists interest me partly because I would so struggle to do this and couldn’t order them as you’re not comparing like with like

I also have to contend with a longer time period than you as I’d cover the time I’ve had an ST, which is from 93 I think, 32 years!!!

My list would start with MLT and definitely include SRL, I’d also include Dusan and Grazziano, CMFG, lots of Full Backs, Killer … oh my days there are so many
Where is Dave Armstrong, Stevie Williams. Mick Channon - difficult isn't it....
