I was told by someone high up at the club during that playoff push that if we didn't go up, we were in proper bother.

Didn't I just post that? £1.3m, if true, may be a 'drop in the ocean' if you have a few more million to draw upon but it becomes a mountain of debt if you haven't a pot to piss in.
We need a club statement on this, a truthful one too, before fans start to cancel their memberships.
