If you really have to, it's time to gloat when we find out what is actually going on. Not now. It's far too early. You might end up gloating in due course (if that's what floats your boat and gives you some sick kick) but those of us with a bit more sense and maturity prefer to hang on a bit and hear what is really happening here. Personally, if I was you, I'd be far more concerned about the good of our club than I'd be about gloating and goading fellow supporters. But that's just me I guess. As I keep saying, atm it makes no sense at all.
I'm sure your great leader will come out with some guff for you to swallow. So missed wages, plea for investment, missed transfer payment, transfer embargo and you still won't accept it. Imagine if we'd got relegated ! *And maybe if you hadn't been quick to gloat in the first place (sick kick) then I wouldn't be taking a perverse pleasure in watching you squirm now.
I'm on the opposite side of the fence to you and have been for some time.. Your post is spot on though.
He needs to come out and admit that he can't fund us anymore and that he's putting the club up for sale.
that is what he said (.... but not that he was looking to sell). As said, it just doesn't make sense atm.
Burstow and Joseph up front then (Unless we can persuade McBurnie to join the madhouse - he is a free isn't he?)
This gets worse by the hour. I think I’m going to bed, sleep well all. Let’s all stick together in these dark times
Is anyone surprised? The £60m debt we have piled up was dismissed as 'one of those things' when the reality is, we are in the 5hit and have been for a while. The McVitie fella soon pulled out when he realised the extent of it and it looks like Acun has been robbing Peter to pay Paul ever since. The gamble in the last January transfer window under Rosinor, which I'm assuming the McVitie guy funded, looks like was 5hit or bust. And probably the real reason Rosinor lost his job. And it's not as though we haven't seen or been here before following Hull City. We attract them like flies round dog 5hit. Is there a way out? Maybe a fire sale which would be difficult with a transfer embargo slapped on us. Someone has to come clean pretty soon because this could snowball and derail our season before a ball has been kicked.
McVitie's put in about £1.3m, a drop in the ocean really. I was told by someone high up at the club during that playoff push that if we didn't go up, we were in proper bother.
there would have been no shame (in my opinion) if he’d just admitted he can no longer fund the club. He’s made mistakes of course, he’s wasted money and I genuinely believe his heart is in the right place. As I say there’s no shame in saying you can’t fund something that loses 500k a week, but after his speech on Monday, he looks silly
You called it months ago. So did Howden. At this point, I’d take Ehab back with a multi-billion consortium. That’s how bad it is…
