Trust me, I believe it. While you may cite recent league positions, some things are so apparent that inconsequential things like league positions are irrelevant. They are just scientific fact: "Portsmouth are the superior side to Southampton and always will be, regardless of league position" - Sir Isaac Newton

Only 9 days til we find out the dates of your two humblings :)

I think Pompey will ultimately lose John Mousinho. He will have a much better season this year but just feel he is destined to be poached.

As far as the finishing positions for the next campaign, i do not think there will be a massive difference. Saints fans underestimate Portsmouth but i feel Pompey will surprise a few. If they lose their coach , i think Portsmouth will struggle. He is their Nigel Adkins.

I think they'll be top half perhaps even pushing play offs if they can improve their away form. Assuming they keep the manager of course, he's done an excellent job so far.

I think Portsmouth could be play off contenders but without Mousinho , they would struggle. Actually think Mousinho is probably better than Still but he is destined for the Prem.

Dude, you couldn't even beat us once the season we had no owner (because he was on the run from the law), I don't think we'd need fear a record breaking ex-pl team

Wasn't it Al Mirage around that time?

I love how much you lot celebrate those two draws in a season where you were relegated and we were promoted. Says everything about the size of the chasm between the two clubs in recent times

In all seriousness a home win apiece seems the most likely outcome to me but it's a great opportunity for us to get a rare double.

Sir Isaac Newton created a formula for gravity, and since that day Portsmouth have gravitated towards a position below Southampton.
