    Right, to pass the time.

Which of our ‘links’ so far (excluding Amad) would you most like us to sign and why?

I think mine would be Lennon Miller. Everything about that seems right.

Singo, got the pace and power we need at the back and from what I've seen is a massive upgrade on what we've got

The more i think about the lennon Miller link the more i want him

    Miller
    Singo
    Lauriente

These 3 really talk to me. Sadly looks like the Singo fee is closer to 35 now and we are scrapping bigger boys.

Ill be honest I've never even heard of any of them. Barring Amad obviously and the odd loose links to a couple of young city midfielders. If I'm being honest I'd never heard of anyone who we have signed in the last few years so I'm happy enough to just let the recruitment team crack on and hopefully come up trumps with a few absolute gems.

Another vote for Singo - get more pace in defence. Abline to boost our forward options. He looks very good at holding the ball up and would add a different style. Maybe one of the tall forwards that have been linked for when we need more muscle. One of the French lads whose name I can't recall.

I like the majority of the links so far.

Favourites are Abline, Singo, Uche and Diarra. Abline because I think he's quality and is versatile. Singo mainly because I think he's so far above our level. Uche because of the physicality and versatility he has. Diarra because of his energy and leadership (captain at a very young age).

I really like the Miller, Gray and Samuels-Smith links (if permanent not loans). They are the ones that take the model to the next level and protect ourselves for the next 5+ years.

Lauriente and Vanat i'd put in the same bracket. Have shown good signs but quality of opposition is a concern and i'd like to see the fees involved. Like both though and at the right price I think they'd be good buys.

The only links I haven't really liked so far are Henderson, Tanganga and Caleta-Car. Mainly because I don't think they are good enough to start games and i'd want to know who would be starting in front of them. For instance, if it's Neil and Henderson as our DM's and then just Tanganga or Caleta-Car added to our existing CB's then I wouldn't like it at all. If they came in and another quality option was added ahead of them it would be fine.

The rest of the links just fall into the 'meh' category. Doyle, Sangan etc.

Like rednwhite I'm not clued up on most of the players/foreigners we are looking at but is it worth exploring the eastern european market for a couple of hard lads.

Uche is a great shout. He stood out amongst the players linked so far.

Edit - there's a large Jobe-shaped hole in our midfield and Uche has looked the nearest to filling that. A big presence but also decent goals and assists.

To be honest I havent been keeping up with whats going on etc but are the links credible? Normally hear nowt cos Speakman is a master at playing his cards next to his chest.
Be interesting to see how many we sign AND if any of them are links that have been mentioned.

There are some really good Ukrainians, serbians, Croatians about so always worth a look.

When I try to think about which nationalities come to England and have the best success rate it's probably:
French, Brazilian, Spanish which I suppose makes sense as they're footballing powerhouses.

Not heard of us being linked to him, but a player I’ve always admired is Emile Smith Rowe, I don’t think he got in the Fulham team as much as I thought he would last season, but I reckon he’d be great in our team and he’s only 24/25 still.

Sadly started the vast majority of games for them, don't think they'd consider selling

    He’s a good player.

They paid up to £34million for him and he played 30-odd games mate.

    Absolutely no chance he leaves.

    Interesting move this:

FC St Pauli sign Peterborough striker Jones

Bundesliga side FC St Pauli have signed Peterborough forward Ricky-Jade Jones.
Jones, 22, will join the German club on a long-term deal when his Peterborough contract expires at the end of June.
Jones is a product of Peterborough’s academy and made his first-team debut aged 16, before going on to score 41 times in 203 appearances for the club.
He also helped Peterborough win the EFL Trophy in each of the last two seasons

    Don’t rate him.

I think he’s making it this far based on speed, his control isn’t amazing, his shooting is very inconsistent

obviously can develop. Germany may be a good move
