Correct. If it passes tonight there will be three more readings which require a simple majority vote.

I think those stages are only skipped if the state budget fails to pass, then the Knesset is dissolved automatically.

If this bill fails, we're stuck with him for at least another six months, which is the statutory period before another dissolution bill can be brought to the plenum.

From what I'm hearing the vote will take place around 3am Israel time and the session is prepared to go on through the night if necessary.

The bill was defeated 62-51.

In the end only one coalition party voted against the government. Shas backed down after guarantees were made, and UTJ's vote was split.

Plane on it's way to Gatwick has crashed in India with at least 242 people on board. Seems like it's crashed on a Town or City.

Edit: sounds like it's actually crashed at the airport as it was taking off.
