How important is Premiership experience?

If we start the opening day with a starting 11 who have 0 Premiership games, is that perfectly fine? Curious to what others on here think.

I'd be very worried if this was the case but I would expect at least 2 to come in who have PL experience together with one or 2 from top European leagues.

I’d love KLD to make a stand here.

Under €25 million, so maybe 21/22m is a shambles of a bid. I’d love KLd to say ‘you think you can take the piss, no more negotiations if you want him it’s full clause’

Be a great statement for when the next club comes after our talent.

They’ve bid half an Archie Gray for Jobe.
Id probably rather not the full clause but if they do then fair play.

£25-30m plus 20% is the dream, I agree.

Just be a good ‘don’t take the piss’ statement.
I guess it would be nice to see, but a statement that gets us a worse deal than what will probably be agreed.

Dunno mate. Maths wise €40 million is what 35?

To get from 25 to 35 at 20% we’d need Jobe to go for close ti £100m, that rarely happens with that ‘type’ of player.

These sell clauses are usually ‘of profit’ not ‘of fee’

I think we'll sell for either €30m+5 or a little bit more up front.

To make anything more than the 5m difference he'd just have to go for over 25 with a 20% sell on, certainly seems likely.

there’s always the risk he runs his contract down and leaves Dortmund on a free. Or doesn’t kick on how we’d expect / gets injured etc

To get £15 million out of ‘profit’ we’d have to sell at £25million and he need to move on for 100m (20% of 75m is 15m).

We’d possibly be better taking 35m now. We are hanging on for 5m and he has to be a blockbuster for us to make that.

I love Jobe, I have no doubt he smashed Bundesliga, but 100m? It’s a loooong shot.

Fair play if he manages to run down a 5yr Dortmund deal - they tend to not let that happen.

Risk vs reward:
Lose out on 5m potentially gain anywhere from 5-20.

Bear in mind we’d also owe Birmingham a percentage of future earnings from Jobe as well

They're never profit now, just of total fee

I’m sure the Uruguayan milk tray man said he wants to get more South Americans in soooo
