The new footbridge is looking really impressive and will be a boost for Sheepfolds and the home/away supporters.

Looking at the drone footage three things spring to mind.

Will the decision on placement of the away supporters be affected by the bridge.

How will this affect trade for the Bridge Street pubs like the Museum, Victory, etc.

Who will be asked to cut the ribbon and open it.
I don’t think it will have too much effect, there’s only room for a limited amount of fans at the sheepfolds so I reckon those who go to the bridge street pubs will continue. Plus it’s more expensive in the sheepfolds !

I think away fans, on the trains, will use the bridge, find Sheepfolds is chocka and double back …

… or go into the ground and drink on the concourse.

I reckon it will increase boozing round keel areas. People will then know they can continue the drinks and just hop over the bringe in 5 mins to the stadium. Game changer

I think you're right, home/away supporters can arrive by Metro/train and do a pub crawl from the 3 Stories through Keel and over the bridge ...

... much better than getting off at the SOL Metro or St Peters.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have pre match entertainment in Keel Square/Fan Zone type thing. Then the hoards can march to the SoL as one.

Went to the club shop today and I was shocked and amazed that they don’t do gift vouchers,

Sunderland AFC supporters are advised that the Club’s multi-year partnership with SeatGeek will commence next week.

The Club’s new online ticketing platform will be live from Tuesday 10th June, and fans that have bought a ticket or season ticket during 2022-23, 2023-24 or 2024-25 need to take one simple action to activate their SeatGeek account: Log-in using your existing customer number and reset your password. A reset link will be sent to the email address linked to that customer number.

If your account has been inactive for more than three years, your Ticketmaster account will not migrate, and you will be required to create a new account.

Following a period of closure to facilitate the Club’s move to SeatGeek, the Stadium of Light ticket office will reopen next week.

On Tuesday 10th June the new online ticketing system will facilitate seat moves only for any 2025-26 season ticket holder wanting to change seat for the forthcoming campaign.

The ticket office counter and phones will also be open to help with supporters wanting to move seats.

The ticket office will reopen to all supporters on Wednesday 11th June, and 2025-26 season tickets will be released on general sale, with the easiest and quickest way to buy via online.

Further details regarding 2025-26 season tickets, including general sale pricing, will be communicated shortly.

I was in the club shop today, my good lady wanted a couple of Tshirts.
There was a family in from the USA spending a fair wack on kit, good to see..

Slight downside, only one till was open.
There were two further assistants, one of whom was ensuring stock was displayed correctly whilst the other was just stood using her phone instead of jumping onto another till to clear the queue. Not the best impression.

I was actually surprised how many customers were mooching about on a Friday lunchtime.
