I’ve seen a few aren’t keen but I’m feeling positive about this appointment.

Hope he gets a good reaction today if introduced to the crowd
If he can assemble a team that looks like it’s actually done a weeks training, has some idea about defending, tackling and scoring goals and breaks sweat, he will have raised the standard of the team considerably. Whether he can do it for a whole season is way in the future.

Tbh there’s a few that would find it difficult to get excited about finding a £50 note after this last season. With us Saints fans ‘optimism’ has a definition not covered in the Oxford dictionary. We take it much further!

Reactions: Archers Road
There was an article on BBC sport that took a negative tone and suggested that the lack of coaching qualifications and employing his brothers as assistants was a massive risk. It attracted a lot of negative comments about it being an unnecessary risk and that a 3 year contract was reckless.

I just feel that Still will not last the full three year duration of his contract. One of my froends pointed out that this was the best would could hope for. My gut feeling is that this will be like the Cowley brothers at Poetsmouth who promised alot but in thw end the fans wanted a change. The Cowley brothers were rated as the next best thing but did not live up to the expectations or hype.

He doesn’t lack any coaching qualifications.

The Cowley brothers have never been nearly as highly rated as Still is. Still's been touted as one of the brightest young manager's in Europe by a French football journalist. When were the Cowley brothers rated as the "next best thing"?
