Nobody can accuse saints of being boring and predictable in the appointments. This one feels no different to Jones, Martin, juric to me.. hmm okay, not what I expected.
What I know of him, he’s a good manager in France, has charted a path from the bottom to the top job, been well respected where ever he’s been and the results have been good.

being totally honest it makes little difference who we hire until we sort out the squad which is utter ****e. If he can get tune out of this lot it will be a miracle appointment.

A run of the mill, experienced, safe pair of hands. No clever appointments, no one fashionable or with potential. Just a pragmatic manager who's got a team promoted out of the Champ before. I think the problem with all the managers we've had under SR is that they've not managed in the league that we're in, it's why Juric failed, why Selles, Jones, and even PL Martin failed.

It looks like we're getting Still so I'll back him. I'm not expecting absolutely anything from him so if anything he'll get an easier time of it from me than the happy clapper types. I think he'll put us solidly mid table. Maybe just falling short of the play offs. He won't take us up.

None of those have managed in a top division before. Still has.

Tbh his record is considerably more accomplished than either Jones or Martin, the only question mark is that he hasn’t managed in England before.

Juric’s career just looks a bit weird.

It is almost impossible to know whether the players we have will be any good in the Championship given the absurd gulf forming between it and the PL.

12 point blunders could be auto challengers next season with the right management.

I’d still prefer some substantial transfer business though.

I think there's an argument to be made that the French football league isn't exactly top draw. The point I was trying to make is we're recruiting managers with no experience of the league we're in (Martin aside) I was hoping the introduction of Spors would see us move on from buying for the future but sadly it hasn't.

Or I think that's the point I was going for, it's hard to tell with my "mental health" issues :emoticon-0100-smile

Either way I think I'm happier with him over Rohl. Just not totally convinced he'll work.
