For premier champion and euros winners, c'mon kld you know it makes sense
To be fair, I don't think you will be too far away with the ambitions of the board. We know KLD will be aiming for the stars, his family don't mess about in anything they do.For premier champion and euros winners, c'mon kld you know it makes sense
Step 1 is not to rip up everything we've done so far just to stay up next year. People will be screaming for millions to be spent and experience to be bought. Those same people said we weren't spending enough to compete for promotion and that we were too inexperienced.
That's not to say we don't spend money or buy experience, but ONLY when it fulfils the other criteria that the club look at when signing players. We've bought players that defy expectations. They don't follow the clichés. They create their own destiny and so does this club. Trust the process.

Speakman fully deserved some doubts after a tragic couple of transfer windows last seasonTo those that doubted KLD, KS & co,
don’t you look silly now
It's been very impressive. My personal ideal way to achieve success in football is to do it on the cheap by playing talented kids and letting them learn on the job so I love what's happening with the club.
Dreyfus has run the gaffe like a seasoned pro, old head on young shoulders. Speakman has absolutely smashed it, so many great deals, happy players across the board and the piss taking hasn't stopped but the difference is we're the ones doing it now.
Can't wait to see how we go about navigating the prem. Please let's keep Le Fee love the bloke.
All done by looks of it mate, he has signed.
Was the deal for him to sign on promotion? It rings a bell but I can't remember in all the excitement.
Aye mate.
Class video of Luke asking him if he has signed and him saying yeah on the match thread.
Have a look for it mate. Most recent page it's on!
Just seen it on the itv highlights aswell!
Yeah seen that one just wasn't sure how much stock to put in it. ****ing brilliant, he'll be class in the prem and is a big fan favourite.
No ambition.
Asset stripping.
Won’t take us anywhere.
Clueless kid.
Done it in 4 young man. You made us proud. You made us cry. The joy of them players was utterly beautiful. They love being here.
KLD and Speakman have changed the direction, the reality, the ambition, the reality, the value and the respect for the club.
We mean something again. We are a big club again.
I can’t comprehend what they have done to our club. We are full of class and grace, we are developing players, finding nurturing growing.
Oi Big Man, every ****er knows your name. Believing in them, backing them, staying with them.
Its beautiful. What we need to stay up is for another day. We won’t lose anyone now. We just need some pieces to help these young ****ing warriors grow.
I can’t believe we did it. We made it. We fought for it we earned it.
Arise KLD
Arise Speakman
Arise RLB
2 wonderful days, after 4 pretty wonderful years if we are honest. Unexpected growth followed by harsh realities and a club that from top to bottom has learned fast and adapted as we went at a rate we didn’t expect.
Beautiful. No other word.
We are Sunderland. Them ****ing lions on the sleeves mean we are ****ing back.
(Le Fee was ‘obligation to buy on promotion’, by the way, he is ours now)
The change in transfer strategy last summer helped massively. More experience (Mepham and Browne as examples)Great post in general but keeping Le Fee is huge. Really highlights the importance of getting promotion.
Could have been treading water for a while in the championship but regardless of what happens next season the club is in a fantastic position especially considering how clever the blokes in charge are.
Speakman fully deserved some doubts after a tragic couple of transfer windows last season
Lessons were clearly learned though, thankfully
