And he is a Hampshire lad.Watford fans seem to rate Cleverley and think he was harshly treated. In a poll on their not606 site, 94% say it was the wrong decision to sack him.
We desperately DO now...https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/1924075741789983223?s=46
Don’t see why people wouldn’t want Still as our next manager
I got chatting to a Watford fan last night randomly, and he rated Cleverley. Said the guy had to deal with board selling off the best talent, not replacing the talent and expecting the same results with youthful playersWatford fans seem to rate Cleverley and think he was harshly treated. It could even be this, but that we did genuinely speak to him as part of a wide recruitment process. Who knows how many candidates we have interviewed. Cleverly could well be one of many and the agent has just talked it up a little. On the Cleverley stuff, he has the same agents as Still. With my cynical hat on, this only leaked out after the Still stories were circulating because an agent took a phone call from an enquiring journalist and threw in ‘they like/spoke to Tom too’
Could be true, could equally not and be agent work to try and get him in people’s thoughts
Shame. Given where we are. I think two years of Dyche is exactly what we need. At least he would get a team to put some effort inDyche to Leicester seems likely to me.
Sounds like rinse and repeat philosophyFrom the names linked it’s obvious we want to go “young and upcoming” for next manager. Can’t say I know anything about Cleverley as a manager
Yeah, almost certainly. I think lots more people ‘have talks’ about a job in football than we as fans perhaps realise at times, in general. However that doesn’t mean every ‘talk’ is a formal interview or any indication of being in the end game of being seriously in the mix for an offer, oftentimes it’s a phone call or a discussion at a meeting that an agent plays up in the mediaIt could even be this, but that we did genuinely speak to him as part of a wide recruitment process.
