Shame about Rohl, but Will Still is fairly experienced for his age and getting a manager who finished 8th in a European top division isn’t to be sniffed at.

Only case against is that he hasn’t managed in England yet, but that isn’t usually a barrier for most.

I’m a bit 50/50 about it, but knowing Saints we could have gone for far worse.

Big risk for me and could backfire.

Can see the argument that now is the time to take a risk as we should have a far stronger squad than most of the Championship like we did last time, so having a manager who is learning/not actually any good he can be carried by the strength of the team like Martin was last season.

Rohl is just as much of a risk for me. Bringing in a manager who's managed in a top 5 league to a Championship club is quite an achievement (if it happens).

I’m just glad that I don’t have a strong opinion on who we get as manager.
We will get who we get and I will support his decisions and give him time to settle.
But if he’s a **** up then I will reserve the right to slag him off.
Like yourself, l am ambivalent as to who we get. I have negligible confidence in SR, but can only hope that by inspiration, or more likely blind luck we get someone to give us some positive direction. Also like you, l reserve the right to slag off the new manager if after time he underperforms, but most of my vitriol will be reserved for SR.

Agree Rohl is a risk but at least he has 18 months experience in the league.

We’ll see but we definitely could’ve gone down a “safer” route than either Rohl or Still if we wanted to

From the names linked it’s obvious we want to go “young and upcoming” for next manager. Can’t say I know anything about Cleverley as a manager
