Way, way too early to write either of them off.
I don't think that the signings have been bad, but the balance is poor.
The manager hasn't utilised the squad sensibly, either.
I actually thought Kinsky had a really good game - and gave me more confidence than Vicario tbh.
As far as Archie is concerned, he's been seriously used and abused by Postecoglou. Dropped in the deep end and then pretty much discarded (as has been Kinsky). How a young lad can be expected to perform at his best level under those circumstances is beyond me. <doh>

The manager hasn’t a clue how to use a squad. He has his favourites but beyond that he can’t handle rotation etc. its just one reason I don’t buy into him being a good man manager

Should we win the EL, this season should be massive lesson to Levy.
Somehow achieving his financial holy grail of CL football in what has been an utterly appalling season needs to result in some serious changes for the better. It’ll be one of the most amazing “get out of jail free cards” I’ve seen in football. A team finishing 17th in the league and qualifying for the CL. Madness.

But we’re gonna need to make some serious changes from top to bottom over the summer to capitalise. We’ll never get another opportunity like it.

And thank god Man United are as bad as we are.

Untrue. Whether the finalists finish 7th or 17th is moot.

Both qualified for the EL by virtue of their performance
the season before. That both are finalists irrespective
of their league performance this season is due to the
evident strength of the PL in UEFA land compared to
its peers.

The league is the true measure of how a club is
operating on-pitch. A harsh mistress, but one that
rarely lies. Participation in UEFA land simply asks
even more harsh questions of the abilities of a
squad and its manager.

Ange reported post match that Sarr felt something in his back , what's the odds the the only way he will make it to Bilbao is in a Wheelchair

that’s very true, and certainly a different way of looking at it. However, if we’re talking about the performances of the season before being the measure of how deserving we are (which I agree with), next season doesn’t look hopeful unless things change, especially, as you say, if we’re using the PL as the evidence of how we’re operating, as we’re currently 17th. The CL will be a lot more challenging, and we’re going to get embarrassed in that competition much worse than we have in the PL this season…. And that’s saying something.

There are 36 clubs in the CL of whom at least 12 would be relegation candidates in the PL. So we've actually got a very good chance of getting to the last 16.

I can live with the embarrassment, if the by-products are :

1. bringing in the money to materially move the
squad towards the peak of the league campaigns

2. the manager seriously improving and refining
their skills in the use of the squad over the league
campaign + an extra 20% odd of games.

but we’re 1 place above relegation, so surely we’d be one of the 12? Not one of the last 16 <laugh>
