Strange about Pandur he’s been so safe all season but didn’t seem to have to make flying saves or spectacular ones that often . It’s his positioning and handling that seemed aside from today spot on . He is POS tho by by a mile . Macca apart from his occasional blip like today has done do well as a stand in left back .

Well is time to change 75% of the squad and gaffer because we were so much crap this season.

For me, there is someone who deserves huge recognition for what he has done this season and has gone under the radar and thats Macca. He was asked to do a job and 9 times out of 10 he's stood up and done it .
Got to agree there tigerscave. And for me he is 2nd in the player of the year . No one seems to comment on the brilliant tackles he has made in the last couple of games. He's not going to get in front of Hughes but he is a valuable player for us.
Remember its our defence that had kept us up this season and he has been a big part of that

I think he'll sack Selles then Sellus...
Sounds easy....Who's the buyer...A mega rich Arab? That bird who had hand in buying the Toon....A US based consortium with loads of $$$$$$$$, or the local butcher from down Hessle Road, and his mates Bill the Baker, and Jack the Candlestick maker?

Blip like today. He successfully nullified a very handy-looking winger, albeit with a foul.

Sounds like the first bit is going to happen. Credible sauce (yeah, I know :emoticon-0102-bigsm ). Thought he would be kept into next season, but I get it if he isn't. A good enough start, but it's all gone backwards for me, and in the end we are very fortunate to have stayed up - talk about slim margins.

Don't see the second bit happening though which I believe is good [HASHTAG]#obvs[/HASHTAG]! :emoticon-0105-wink:

Selles sacked Monday morning

just heard it from a very good source
If that happens, as far as I’m concerned it’s Acun out for me. The guy has done what he was brought in to do and deserves until at least Christmas next season. He’s also got Acun partially off the hook for his utterly appalling decision to sack Rosenior.

Let's look at it this way, Selles came in with us in a perilous position, much the same way Rosenior did when we were looking like we may go down unter Walter, As disappointing as the season has been we have stayed up by the finest of margins but we have to remember we have had a lot of our top players, Millar, Belloumi, Matazo, Zambrano - I would say Barry but he didn't play enough to know how vitel he would be. It's been a piss poor season, lets get our squad back together, a proper LB and a striker and give Selles a good 20 games next season and reassess from there.

Has he? We've been going backwards in the past couple of months, and only survived by the very skin of our teeth. If progress was clear, then no question, stick with him. I'm 50:50 ish about it, maybe slightly in favour of sticking.. Perhaps I'd be more swayed one way or another if I knew who would replace him.
